PureDWTS Season 25 Week 6 Interviews, Recaps, Scores, And More After The Dances

Quick! Would you like to score free tickets to see Dancing With The Stars? If so, see THIS LINK. If you win, you get free roundtrip airfare, hotel and ground transportation. You can’t beat that. šŸ˜‰

Also, I’d like to start this post off thanking Miss Heidi and Courtney. They’ve been covering me all season with me having to be away so much taking care of my Mom after getting Sepsis (if you ever catch an infection, don’t put it off and PLEASE DO SOMETHING right away or it could be lethal! Getting over it can take months.

With that said, what a night at the movies on Dancing With The Stars with Mark & Lindsey and Jordan & Lindsay being my favorites. So creative and beautiful. They also get my favorite costumes of the night! šŸ™‚ So, let’s review the scores….

Lindsey & Mark 40 (10, 10, 10, 10)
Jordan & Lindsay 39 (10, 9, 10, 10)
Terrell & Cheryl 37 (9, 9, 10, 9)
Vanessa & Maks 36 (9, 9, 9, 9)
Nikki & Artem 36 (9, 9, 9, 9)
Victoria & Val 31 (8, 8, 7, 8)
Frankie & Witney 31 (7, 8, 8, 8)
Drew & Emma 30 (7, 7, 9, 7)
Nick & Peta 26 (7, 6, 7, 6)

If you missed seeing the show, see Idolxfactor.com (these videos work internationally) and the official Your Tube page. Don’t miss some behind the scenes videos at the official Facebook page.

To start off with interviews and recaps, see ABC7. Also according to ABC7 next week the eight stars will all dance twice; once with their partner, and again in the team dance. Also see People and Glamour for their recaps and interviews.

FOX411 has a recap and some fun interviews HERE on the night as well. Below is a take from this link. Don’t give up, Frankie. You can still do this….

Meanwhile, former football player Terrell Owens and his partner Cheryl Burke also impressed judges, grabbing 37 points.

Owens told reporters of their James Bond-themed spy dance, “I’m still in the hunt. I think we’re steadily improving. With this process, it’s not how you start but how you finish. Cheryl is pushing me to the limit.”

Nikki Bella and partner Artem Chigvintsev were the picture of “foreign film,” as they turned in an Argentine tango, tying Vanessa and Maks with 36 points.

Former “Malcolm in the Middle” star Frankie Muniz and partner Witney Carson did a psychedelic jazz number that was marred by bobbles and garnered 31.

The routine that was supposed to represent the movie animation genre left the judges disappointed, with Inaba sighing that there were “a lot of mishaps.”

Tonioli told Muniz, who previously excelled on the show, “You lost timing.”

But guest judge Twain said, “You were just so liberatedā€¦I thought it was right on.”

Muniz later said, “It was my worst performance.”

“I messed up on so much,” the former child star admitted to Fox News. “That was bad for me.”

Paralympian Victoria Arlen and partner Val Chmerkovskiy also received 31 points, for a creative movie sports-themed hockey Paso Doble and she said backstage, “It was a crazy routineā€¦it was just a lot of fun. I’m fighting every week on this show.”

Val said he was “tougher on her than usual” this week as the competition is close.

More here.

And now these recaps and interviews. Enjoy! Read more..

Dancing with the Stars Season 25, Week SIX – LIVE BLOG

Saw a few comments about the running order – you all need to realize that it’s much more than getting Pimped or getting screwed. Jordan and Lindsey are the two best dancers this season without question…so they are likely to close the show more often.

ALSO, when we studied running order, 3rd and 4th were the worst spots to get…NOT FIRST. Early in the season they were underscoring the first dancer, so that sucked, but the last two weeks that has changed.

Gee, so surprised to see Val featured in the first many seconds of the show. :::rolls eyes::: He’s still not an actor. I guess all that sucking up to Mandy worked.

Shania looking good!! Except for the featuring of Val that was a good opener.

Oy vey gotta convey the theme in your dance. Sounds like an excuse to low ball. Read more..

DWTS Season 25, Week 5 – Dancing by the Numbers!

DWTS is on the verge of boring the shit out of me once again.

Why, you ask? Well, they just seem so OBVIOUS to me. Perhaps theyā€™re obvious to everyone which is why theyā€™ve fallen below 10 million viewers for the first time EVER this season. But really, how many times do we have to see this scenario play out: they cast the show, sometimes with an obvious gimmick they are invested in (the Chmerlacheys) and sometimes just someone who is ABC family who they need to pimp. THEY, the producers, are invested in it for one reason or another and therefore they feel the need to pimp the crap out of it to try to get everyone else buying it as well.Ā  It DOESNā€™T WORK OUT, so they are scrambling. They canā€™t just let the show evolve organically, so they think (tragically) that they must have a Chmerkovskiy in the finale ā€“ so they go to plan B: pimp the crap out of Valā€™s partner. Yes, Val was actually Plan B for a change. LOL. Does it occur to NO ONE on that show that if Val was that great he wouldnā€™t need all that help? Read more..

DWTS Season 25, Week 6 – Who’s Dancing What…and When?

Couldn’t find the press release this week, so I got these from DWTSGossip. I also didn’t have time to look and see if these songs are actually associated with movies, or if they were given a song/dance style and then the movie genre to work within. I’m thinking this MIGHT be better than giving them an actual movie. We’ve had some crap ass Movie nights when too many of the movies just didn’t work. Anyway…

Winners: Lindsey has done a bit of AT with the master, Derek, so she might have a bit of leg up, depending on how much AT he actually taught her in their 3 hours of rehearsal. Frankie doing Jazz should be a good thing – no rules and all that.

Losers: Oy veh – Nick and rumba?? Should be a disaster. Nikki gets “foreign” as a genre? Hosed. First she gets the Disney song no one knows and now this? Sheesh.

Everyone else is probably fine. I wonder if they’ll all get 24. šŸ™‚ Read more..

PureDWTS Season 25, Week 5 – Power Rankings

I’ve said it before, but here it goes again: I actually usually hate Disney night, and it’s not because I “hate Disney” or “had an upsetting childhood” (Twitter sure is full of recreational psychologists these days) – it’s because, like many a theme week, it tends to force the pros to shoehorn their choreo to fit songs that aren’t all appropriate for the dance they’ve been assigned, and the end result is usually…painful to behold, and a detriment to the celeb partner’s scores. However, I will say this: maybe my personal bar was set pretty low, but I actually found myself enjoying last night’s show, on the whole. Most of the pros (with the exception of maybe three) seemed to bring their A-game and actually churn out some respectable and entertaining dances, that still managed to stay true to the Disney movie they were assigned; granted, there were still some eyebrow-raising scoring issues and the general ick of Chmerlachey in its death throes, trying wayyyy too hard to stay on our radar, but all in all, I found the show enjoyable…even with having to watch it on a dodgy live stream on my iPad due to Monday Night Football.Ā  For the first time in PureDWTS history, Heidi’s Titans were playing my Colts on MNF – so we both were on the live stream struggle bus, but thankfully, our server issues here at Pure seem to have been fixed by our latest update, so we hope more of you will stick around to chat with us now šŸ™‚ Read more..

PureDWTS Season 25 Week 5 Interviews, Recaps, Scores, And More After The Dances

Well, Disney Night was another winner for me on Dancing With The Stars. The contestants and producers always outdo themselves. My fave dance of the night was Frankie and Witney! I never thought he could pull off a role like that, but, he did and so powerfully and sexy. *shock* I loved Mark & Lindsey and Jordan & Lindsay too. I also have to give props to Gleb and Sasha. They went out on a high note. That was their best dance of the season in my opinion. I loved her message all season and she looked beautiful.

Let’s review the scores….

Jordan & Lindsay 30 (10, 10, 10)
Frankie & Witney 29 (10, 9, 10)
Lindsey & Mark 28 (9, 10, 9)
Nikki & Artem 27 (9, 9, 9)
Victoria & Val 27 (9, 9, 9)
Drew & Emma 25 (9, 8, 8)
Terrell & Cheryl 25 (9, 8, 8)
Vanessa & Maks 24 (8, 8, 8)
Sasha & Gleb 24 (8, 8, 8) Eliminated
Nick & Peta 22 (7, 8, 7)

FOX411 has a recap and some fun interviews HERE and HERE on the night. In this take Drew talks on the weight he’s lost. Note how he flew to New York right after the show last night. Shew….

However, she’s not the only one who has downsized thanks to dancing; backstage, “Property Brothers” star Drew Scott told Fox News he’s lost 30 pounds.

“It’s a lot. Iā€™m seeing my abs like I’ve never seen them before, yeah,” Scott exulted.

“But I’m eating a lot more now just because I need to keep that weight on. This is like back in my high school and college days. I could eat like a horse and never put on weight,” tall and gangly Scott told reporters.

“I want to keep [the weight] off where I am now. I just love this, but instead of going to the gym to do weight training, I’m getting all the cardio and everything I need here.

“I haven’t done cardio like this since I was a teenager,” Scott said, with dance partner Emma Slater by his side.

Because of work commitments, Scott doesn’t have time to go to the gym: “Literally, I fly out in an hour, I have to head to New York,” he said on Monday night after the “DWTS” Los Angeles taping.

Dancing with the Stars Season 25, Week FIVE – LIVE BLOG

Is everyone ready for a night full of ear worm music and questionable judging?

Gooooood. šŸ™‚

Ummmm….sound?? This channel had it a minute ago.

Mark defying expectations…it appears he has no crazy costume. Opening number was rather boring.

Geez, it ain’t the halfway point! You still have 10 dancers!!

Looked like a mis-start from Victoria…. they were rather out of sync during a lot of the dance, just in little ways. Kinda simple and a bit boring…perhaps it’s the song.

Len is waxing poetic…but there really wasn’t that much to it. I guess they got the memo??

That dance got a 27??? Vanessa and Nick must really be in trouble if they’re working that hard to keep Victoria safe. Sad.

Okay, Maks as the 7 Dwarves is pretty f@cking funny, I have to say. šŸ˜€

That was a pretty waltz! A bit…sticky…in places but I liked it better than Victoria’s, and I think it was better danced.

Vanessa gets a 24, which is fair..and is what Victoria should have gotten. What is their game? I thinking that Victoria is the only Fam partner which still has a shot at this point and they want to make sure she stays.

Lindsey up next and looking gorgeous…and not dressed strangely. Who is this Mark? šŸ˜‰

That was so far above either Vanessa or Victoria – beautiful. And the bridge in the middle was fantastic. The hold was great, and it wasn’t just Mark – Lindsey sold the SHIT out of that dance. She is Tinkerbell.

Someone explain to me how Victoria’s dance gets the same score as Lindsey’s? At least Len came through with the 10.

Okay I saw the beginning of that Troupe number 3 times…stream kept going back to commercial and it’s still happening. WTF is going on here?

Yeah, my feed is skipping. I’m going to have to take some action here. Okay, lost my feed…trying to get it back.

Okay, got a feed but it’d on commercial. I guess I missed Nick completely? What was his score?

Drew is up wth his V. Waltz from the Muppet Movie.

DWTS ruining children’ lives by putting them BEHIND Kermit!! :::sigh:::

Very pretty dance from Drew and Emma – he’s not a GREAT dancer, but the thing is he’s really enjoying himself and having a great time. That is more than half the battle. He did really well with that dance and Emma is really doing right by him, giving him stuff that makes him look really good. He is getting better every week!

LOL to Kermit’s little tiny 10 paddle.

Totally missed Sasha and Gleb thanks to my skippy feed…she got a 24. You all tell me if she was worthy of it.

Cheryl and TO up with Lion King next…

Pretty decent quickstep from TO…but the staging at the end was crap. I couldn’t see a thing. That could be my shitty stream but it’s pretty clear when it’s working well.

I think I agree with CAI – Terrell does seem different, like he’s clicked. He’s not the dancer that some of the others are, but he’s definitely in the top half of the pack.

Next week is movie week. Ugh. Can we just have fucking dancing??

TO gets a 25. I think the 9 was pretty damn generous, but if we’re talking about a night where Victoria gets 3 of them I guess it’s plausible.

Checking out Nissan Stadium and downtown Nashville on ABC and I must say it’s looking gorgeous. Nice town I live in. šŸ™‚

Whoever mentioned Robert Roldan dancing with the troupe, you were correct. He is there and as handsome as ever. Gorgeous. Loved him on SYTYCD this past season.

Frankie and Wit up next with an AT. Witney being her usual self. Frankie is reminding me of Jessie in Breaking Bad. šŸ™‚

Gonna have my wench by my sided. Bwahahahahaha…

Well, dang. Witney is really doing right by Frankie – the female pros this season are basically killing it right along side Mark. That was a damn good AT! I’m shocked, but I think I shouldn’t be at this point in the game. Boy is an actor. Great job!

And Frankie gets a 29!! That was a damn good dance! I don’t know if it was a 29…but it was really good.

Can we PLEASE have Lin Manuel Miranda with Jordan’s dance? He’s the one that wrote the song. He’s SEXY and so uber talented. I wanna see him.

Jordan and Lindsay dancing to a track cuz I recognize Lin’s voice ANYWHERE. šŸ™‚ Excellent dance from the two of them. Stripped down. Is it just me or are the really good choreographers going without any troupe tonight? With the exception of Cheryl?

Good dance! CAI…the dance was going long?? Are you on crack? They don’t have control over that!!

Len: “Cuz I’m cool” LOL.

Mmmmm…not actually Jordan’s song, I don’t think, per the Music academy. Feel like it belongs to Lin Manuel Miranda.

Jordan gets a well deserved perfect score!

Nikki up next – the only person to not get a current movie. Kinda hosed. LOL to Artem in the pink skirt.

Do they really call her Coco or did the producers feed her that line and she went with it?

This is kind of a travesty. Nikki is capable of so much more and they well and truly fucked her over here. The song didn’t fit with the rest of the night, the dance was just okay – not her fault. To top it off, they label that a Jazz because they can’t seem to find a way to get legit dances with legit songs because they are so determined to work these damn theme nights.

:::sigh::: I’m just kinda pissed off by the whole “jazz” idea and then seeing something that looks nothing like jazz.

She gets a 27 and everyone on the stage is acting like they all know that that isn’t a 27 dance. I’m very irritated.

Here we go…

Jeopardy – Sasha and Gleb

Jeopardy – Frankie and Witney!?!?!?!?

Eliminated: Sasha and Gleb

Well, Sasha was one of my two choices to go this week – I have a very hard time believing that Frankie was actually in jeopardy. I think they might be saving Nick/Vanessa for jeopardy next week.

DWTS Season 25, Week 4 – Dancing by the Numbers!

You really want me to believe that SIX couples all got a 24 on the same night?? Thatā€™s utterly ridiculous.

I also am having a hard time with a top three that consists of Jordan, Lindsey andā€¦Victoria?? Very nice girl and all, but in no way was she a point ahead of Lindsey and 3 points above the rest of the pack. Makes you wonder if sheā€™s in a bit of trouble. I donā€™t find her much more memorable than Sasha, sad to say. And the producers are certainly more invested in Val than they are Gleb, for some strange reason.

Now that you mention it, Frankie, Jordan, Lindsey and TO were the ones that are still sticking with me several days after the show aired. Not a great sign for the rest, I must say. Drew and Nikki are up there as well ā€“ and kudos to Artem and Emma for making sure that their celebs donā€™t fade into the woodwork. Neither is coasting and both are doing some good work here. Both did a brilliant job showcasing their celeb and doing something to get the audience talking. They are not coasting.

That doesnā€™t mean theyā€™ll be safeā€¦but I do think that Jordan, Lindsey and Victoria are our ā€œsafeā€ ones this week.Ā  What does the leaderboard look like? Well, like I was saying ā€“ pretty damn simple.

So, Nick is the low man on the totem pole. Ā And there are 6 people above him all with the same score. The question is: does Nick have the ability to get enough votes more than any of that 6 to be safe? What kind of votes are we talking about?

So, Nick needs 7,400 more votes per million votes cast than the 6 people immediately above him on the leader board ā€“ Frankie, Nikki, Sasha, Vanessa, Drew and TO. Ā Ā Question is: does he have the juice to beat any of those people?

Iā€™m thinking there are one or two that he might be able to pass. I know I called Sasha as the one to be eliminated last week and nothing has changed to make me thing sheā€™s any safer this week. Nikki is the only other one in that group that I feel like could be in danger.

Thing is, when someone is put in jeopardy it can go one of two ways. Typically (or as of the last time I studied it), if you are put in jeopardy, it means that youā€™re not long for this world. There are, of course, exceptions to this rule. But Nickā€™s problem is that heā€™s been there more than once ā€“ so itā€™s only a matter of time, IMO, before heā€™s gone. But the producers putting you in jeopardy does often stimulate votes. Is that working this time? Hell if I know. šŸ˜‰

At the end of the day, I think it comes down to Nick, Sasha and Nikki. One of those three isnā€™t long for this show.Ā  We already know that Nick needs 7,400 more votes per million votes cast than the group above him, but what about that group? Who is most likely to be safe??

Well, I donā€™t think there is any way that that group gets 7,400 more votes per million votes cast than Lindsey. But they donā€™t have to ā€“ they only need ONE more vote per million to be safe over the others in their group.Ā  So, out of Frankie, TO, Vanessa, Nikki, Sasha and Drew, who are the kids getting the votes? Well, I think Frankie and Drew always were getting the votes. I think, after last week, TO is getting the votes for a while longer. He sure won me over. That leaves us with Vanessa, Nikki and Sasha. I think Vanessa is doing fine ā€“ sheā€™s only in trouble if crazy fans decide that Maks is very upset to be dancing with herā€¦or vice versa. I feel like sheā€™s still good for a bit.

Once again, we are left with Nikki, Nick and Sasha ā€“ honestly, I feel like Nikki is safe and itā€™s going to come down to Nick and Sasha. But your guess is as good as mine. Ā For Nikki to be safe she needs ONE of the following things to happen:

  • Nikki needs for Nick to NOT get the 7,400 more votes per million votes cast than her, OR;
  • Nikki needs for ONE of Sasha, Vanessa, TO, Frankie and Drew to NOT get ONE more vote per million votes cast than her, OR;
  • Nikki needs 7,400 more votes per million votes cast than Lindsey.

And so on. That last one is unlikely to happen, but I can certainly see Sasha not getting more votes than her. And if Sasha is, is Nick getting the 7,400? I have a hard time believing that he still has that kind of fanbase. Ā My gut is saying that Nikki is safe.

Which leaves us with Nick and Sasha. Nick and Sasha, Sasha and Nick.Ā  No idea. One part of me is saying that Nick is finally done, but Sasha is just such a non-event for me. Nick is too, but heā€™s memorable in his badness, not to mention that heā€™s getting double the screen time of everyone other than his wife. That being said, the show probably canā€™t support three fam members beyond week 5 and the fam fans are more likely to go with Maks and Val over Peta. Mores the pity.

I kinda feel like Nick is doneā€¦but ask me again in 5 minutes and it will be Sasha. If itā€™s either one of those two, Iā€™ll call this week a win for me. If not, well, itā€™s just impossible. šŸ™‚
