Romeo Miller Hesitant To Return for Dancing With The Stars All Star Season

Dancing With The Stars Romeo Miller is soon to be seen on the big screen in “Tyler Perry’s Madea’s Witness Protection”. He tells Access Hollywood he can’t believe he lucked out in getting the part. He also talks on the new season of Dancing With The Stars. Below is what he says about. More at the link.

As for his “Dancing with the Stars” career, Romeo said he’d be hesitant to return for the All-Stars edition.

“That’s the hardest thing I’ve ever done in my life, so it’d be a lot of consideration and thinking,” he said, adding that he’d like to see “DWTS” alums Kirstie Alley and Chelsea Kane return.

I wouldn’t mind seeing Romeo return. What do you think?

Romeo Miller After Dancing On Dancing With The Stars & More

What’s Romeo Miller aka Lil Romeo been up too since dancing on Dancing With The Stars? Lots!! Black News recently caught up with Romeo to talk about his career and charity work for children. He disses on his Dad and has great messages for young kids again. He explains why he is so commited because of the personal struggles he’s went though. Below are some takes about his Dancing With The Stars journey. Be sure to read the link for more. Great interview with some great questions for him in it!!

KW: What interested you in doing Dancing with the Stars, especially after your father fared so poorly on the program during the 2nd season?
R: I wanted to do this show to show our future generation not to be afraid to fail. More and more kids are dropping out of high school and letting their dreams slip away because of failure. I felt that this show was the perfect opportunity for me to step outside of my comfort zone and take an unknown journey with my fans. I did Dancing with the Stars for the kids and my charity “URBANBORN” [UrbanBorn.org]. And FYI, my dad taught me all of my dance moves. [LOL]

KW: Did you have to get in shape for the show, and how challenging did you find learning the choreography?
R: Coming straight from playing Division 1 Basketball at USC, I was in terrific shape. But after doing the show, I was in even better shape! My vertical jump went from 39 inches to 42 inches, and my cardio and footwork was better then ever. Being a perfectionist, I made the choreography a lot tougher because I wanted every dance to be perfect. I’m a very fast learner, but becoming a ballroom dancer was definitely the most difficult task in my life yet. I definitely respect dancers a whole lot more now.

KW: Tell me a little about the charity you played for.
R:Â People may not know that I’ve gone to regular school through my whole career. Education has always been the rock in my life, and I think that every kid should have the proper education and that experience. School for me has been like the real world in a bubble. Everything about school and education has built me to be the man that I am today, and I wanted to share that with our future. With UrbanBorn.org I do a lot of “Read to Achieve” events and I go to a lot of underprivileged schools to express the importance of education. The kids are the future and I just want to let them know that somebody cares.

KW: What’s more fun, making movies or being a contestant on a reality show?
R: I would definitely have to say making movies! [Laughs some more] Although I loved the Dancing with the Stars journey, I must admit I have never been sooooo nervous in my life. When I’m making movies, I’m a lot more comfortable and relaxed. I feel reality is more fun for the viewers because you get to see the celebrity in a different light. But for me, learning a new dance in a few days to perform in front of 20 million people equals nervous breakdown. [Chuckles]

KW: Editor/Legist Patricia Turnier asks: What message do you think people will take away from Jumping the Broom and what did you learn from appearing on Dancing with the Stars?
R: Jumping the Broom teaches that anything is possible with true love. From Dancing with the Stars, people will learn that in order to succeed you’ll sometimes have to fail and  that, at the end of the day, all that matters is you doing your best. Life has no limits if you just try.

Dancing With The Stars Week 8 Elimination – And So We Say Good-bye To Romeo Miller (Interviews)

Well, I don’t think any of us could say we weren’t pleasantly surprised with Lil’ Romeo and his dancing this Season. Like Kyle Massey last year, many of us had never heard of Romeo before he was picked to do the show and we ended up liking him and his dancing very much. But, what was really cool is that he never let us forget his causes for dancing. Last night, was no different. He took being eliminated like a class act and again he didn’t want us to forget about how important it is to be a fighter in life and not giving up no matter what. It was a lesson not only for kids, but, for us all. So, here’s to Romeo. I really enjoyed him and his dancing this Season and I’m sure his Dad is proud. Just think, at one time, Romeo and his Dad would never have been seen in a pair of dancing shoes. lol More below when he and Chelsea talk more on their journey on Jimmy Kimmel Live last night and Good Morning America today.

Edit to add: Below is George Pennacchio interviewing Romeo and Chelsie as well;

Dancing With The Stars 12, Week 8 – Las Vegas Odds Before The Show

Well, our dancing couples have almost defied the Las Vegas Odds every week. Let’s see if this upcoming week is any different? Once again, the odds makers have Hines in first place. Note how they have Romeo and Ralph tied for third which surprises me a little after the disappointing week Romeo had last week. But, what do we know? Kirstie is in last. Let’s hope she really has a show stopping, clean dance this week to put her on the map. (Heidi’s Note: Eh, they’ve pretty much copped out – Hines at nearly even money and then essentially a 3 way tie for second place?? Really, Ralph and Romeo are only a half point behind Chelsea, with Kirstie in last place, which means they are as clueless as the rest of us. 🙂 )

1. Hines Ward 4/5

2. Chelsea Kane 5/1

3. Lil’ Romeo 11/2

4. Ralph Macchio 11/2

5. Kirstie Alley 15/2

So, who do you think or hope is the couple to leave this week? I hope it’s Chelsea and Mark. If not them, Romeo and Chelsie. Just please don’t let it be Kirstie and Maks! (Heidi’s Note: This week it’s all about the scores. Will they overscore Chelsea and underscore Kirstie in an attempt to get the Final Four they want? Unfortunately, that will likely only hurt Romeo.)

DWTS 12 – Romeo Miller On Winning: “It’s going to take a lot of hard work and a miracle”

ET Online interviewed Chelsie and Romeo last night at the premiere of his new movie, “Jumping The Broom”. While interviewing them on the movie, they ask him about Dancing With The Stars. He talks about what it’s going to take for him to win which is “a lot of hard work and a miracle”. He says to “keep an eye on Chelsea Kane”. Is it just me or does it almost sound like he’s giving up a little? I hope not because he could still be a serious contender in this competition if he wants it bad enough? I don’t think he realizes just how good he is and can be?

Dancing With The Stars Week 6- Romeo Miller With Some More Tricks Up His Sleeves

Jokingly, Romeo tells The Insider he wants to sabatoge the cast so he can win. Hines might be his primary target. He’s definitely in it to win this thing. He’s improved so much since we first saw him dance too. I hope he keeps stunning everyone as he’s done these last few weeks. A little more at the link and a video.

“I’m thinking about sabotaging the cast,” Romeo joked with “The Insider” correspondent Christina McLarty. “I can’t take the chance of me getting a top score and getting voted off regardless.”

Romeo kidded that Hines Ward would be his primary target. “I think I’m going to wear a Green Bay [Packers] jersey or something, come in there and bust his ego.”

Romeo also revealed his sincere thoughts of inviting some celebrity friends to his performances including Justin Bieber, Will Smith and Michael Jordan. “I got a few tricks up my sleeve,” said Romeo.

On Monday, Romeo and pro partner Chelsie Hightower will dance a romantic waltz, causing Romeo to unveil his softer side.

Pure DWTS Season 12 – Chelsie Hightower and Romeo Miller: “We are working our butts off!”

Chelsie Hightower talks with TV Guide about her and Romeo’s dance last week and his progress. She also dished with them a little on their upcoming Paso Doble tonight. It’s going to be interesting to see how he has responded to practicing to “Classical” music, hmmm?? 🙂 More below and at the link.

How’s the paso doble coming along?
Hightower: It’s good. It’s definitely a more difficult dance, especially since we have classical music because there are so many intricacies with the classical music. But I think it’s going to pay off in the end.

Are you approaching the choreography any differently because it’s classical week?
Hightower: I wouldn’t say a different approach, per se. We’re taking the same approach, but it requires more work. It’s harder to find the balance between the paso moves, which are aggressive and in-your-face, and the music. On top of that, the stage is going to be different with the orchestra. It’s a challenge, but we’re both up for it. We’re definitely putting in a lot more hours this week.

The judges have harped on Romeo’s technique. What are you working on this week?
Hightower: His footwork and posture, especially for the paso — you need a really strong frame. And technique in general — he’s been called out for various things in the past few weeks, so we’re trying to improve upon that so that they can’t pick on us for that anymore! But at the same time, it’s a work in progress. It’s still the beginning of the competition. We still have weeks to grow and get stronger. But we’re definitely trying to deliver an awesome comeback dance this week. I think this could be it.

Last minute video addition from Hollywood Life. They also have a new little interview up at the link.;

DWTS12 – Romeo Miller Promises Justin Bieber Surprise If He Makes It To The Finale

Are any of you a Justin Bieber fan? If so, you are being called upon. Hollywood Life interviewed Romeo this week. In the interview, Romeo promises he will have a Justin Bieber surprise if people keep voting for him and he makes it to the finale. Not sure if this attempt to get votes will work, but, Romeo makes some good points about a person’s dance back ground below. Just because a person might have a dancing background doesn’t mean they will be good dancers in the ballroom.

“All the Justin Bieber fans, y’all can vote for me as well. If you all keep voting for me I’ll have a surprise, something with Justin. I can’t really tell but if I make it to the finale, it’ll be a great surprise for Bieber fans,” revealed Romeo in an exclusive interview with HollywoodLife.com.

Romeo played celebrity basketball with Bieber a few months ago, and we can’t wait to see what the 21-year-old rapper has planned with his all-star teammate! Romeo talked about how the season would go if Justin were on Dancing with the Stars.

“If Justin Bieber was on DWTS everybody else might as well just quit. He wouldn’t have a problem with the fan votes. Plus I think Bieber has a heads up because he already likes dancing and already has some dance moves!” said Romeo.

Still, the singer/actor wants to point out that a background in dance doesn’t necessarily make ballroom easier. “It’s actually a challenge, it’s not as easy as it looks,” confesses Romeo. “I’ve had friends come by my rehearsals, friends who are dancers, and they try to do the moves with me and it’s a different process. A hard process. Ballroom dancing is a whole other thing.”

Dancing With The Stars 12 – Romeo Miller Working On Technique (Videos)

Romeo stopped by Clevver TV to talk on the Dancing With The Stars and what it was like to perform “that very first time”. He also talks about how cool it is working with Chelsie, his other projects, and more. I just love his shy and “cool” hip personality. He’s funny too. Check out what he says on Carrie Ann. On a serious note, he “plans to work on his technique” for the next dance.

He’s a man of his word. You can see Romeo and Chelsie working on their technique in this video as well as being interviewed. Special thanks to fan @JohnnyIsa45 at Twitter for sending us this fun video.
