DWTS Karina Smirnoff Defends “A-Listers” Idea At The Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 Launch
Tuesday night, Karina Smirnoff, Peta Murgatroyd, and Damian Whitewood attended the Samsung and Verizon Launch of The Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 in West Hollywood, California. The three looked hotter than ever and represented Dancing With The Stars in their stylish best as you can see. While there, E-Online was able to catch up with Karina to ask her why the show is trying to get more A-listers in “upping their game”. Below is how Karina commented.
But why the sudden snooty ‘tude from DWTS? When we caught up with Karina Smirnoff at the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 Launch at The Beverly, the dancing vet gave us her input on why the mystery A-listers need to up the show’s game:
“I think it’s great that we’re getting more A-list,” said Karina. “I think we can outdo America’s Got Talent and The Voice.”
I’m sorry, but, in my opinion, Dancing With The Stars shouldn’t try and copy anyone else. I like show just as it is. Plus, they are already at the top of their “A” game, aren’t they? Be sure to read the link in full because E-Online questions the show and their attidude a little and some of the people rumored to dance so far. They also dish who they think would make good “barely” A-Lister potentials. They list Lindsay Lohan, Ellen Degeneres, Demi Moore, Kellen Lutz, and Mariah Carey (no way will Mariah do Dancing With The Stars in my opinion. I think she’s going to be involved with the new US X Factor anyway?).

I would have to say I like the idea of the A-List Celebrities… I just wish they would do one season of it though change it up bit… I have to say I really really hope they pull Kellan Lutz because I have always wanted to see him on it.. Also maybe Chord Overstreet. Who knows though.. I can not wait to see who they get this season.. And Hopefully Derek will be paired with a decent person… Not a ringer but someone that is worth they wild.
I’m gonna say something that will probably upset some of you, but here goes. “I could give a Rat’s Ass about who they have on this show. A list, B list, C list… WHATEVER!!! Every year it’s the same whine… “Who? Never heard them! or Well…if this is the best they can do I’m NOT WATCHING.” Honestly folks, it gets old after a while. I LOVE DWTS… and it has nothing to do with the “status of the celebrity”. I watch this show because I love to see people overcome their fears and GROW right before the cameras and viewer. My absolute all time favorite was Erin Andrews. This lady overcame “a mountain of inner conflicts” and blossomed into a wonderful performer. Okay, she wasn’t better than Nicole Scherzinger but she won my heart. Erin was one of those “who dat” persons that made me a die-hard fan regardless of who’s on. And… that my friends… is the reason I’ll continue to watch…regardless of who they get each season.
For me it is Dancing With The Pros. I like to see my favorite pros, Maks, Derek, Tony, Cheryl, Anna, Kym, Chelsie, Mark, Jonathan teach whoever. Seeing the work they do to bring out the best in their “stars” is what I find entertaining. I love when the pros dance together!
