Finally, a great new interview with Access Hollywood and Gladys Knight on Dancing With The Stars. The legendary singer explains why she is dedicating her decision to dance to The Pips! She talks of why she decided to dance and plans to make the journey the best she can make it. Too cool! What a class act!!!
I'm a fashion and music nut....and I have always loved dancing too of any kind. Dancing With The Stars seems to have this way of bringing all of those things together. Derek Hough (one of my favorite dancers) said at a recent Get Healthy event that ‘dancing’ is an outward expression of what is going on inside you. He says that in some ways, everyone dances and it's so true. To TPTB, how about Sam Palladio's "Fade Into You" (this version sung by WilUnleashed) for a V. Waltz?

This team is the epitomy of FUN!! Tristan has definitely done his homework and deserves every accolade paid to him. I have a feeling we are seeing another Derek in the making. He is so attuned to his partners and show cases them perfectly. The look on Gladys’ face while performing said it all!
I’m wondering if any of the cast has asked her for her chicken + waffle recipe yet?
Never posted on this site but read and follow all the time. Tristan is adorable. He treats Ms. Knight with such respect and care. My heart is warmed by their relationship. He is the perfect pro for her.

By the by, were you following the latest series of SCD? You sound like you’d fit right in with the fun bunch from across The Pond that I was “boozing it up with” (metaphorically speaking of course) last fall. They were mixing up different cocktails to match the dances every week.
A PureDWTS cookbook…that’s not a bad idea
I literally have several fantastic cheesecake recipes that I’m sure would fit right in! Especially my Bailey’s Irish Cream cheesecake…maybe I could rename it “Cheesecake a la Tristan” to fit the theme. I also have a great beer cheese recipe that I made when the Packers went to the Superbowl…Donald Driver’s Dynamite Beer Cheese, anyone?

I don’t get SCD where I am. Once or twice a year I can pick up a ballroom competition on PBS and that is it.
The boyfriend is convinced our TV only has 3 channels on it: TSN, OLN and CNN. I’m trying to educate him on “The Arts” but I think the light bulb between his ears is permanently dimmed!
That is kind of cool though that they paired drinks to dances!

@Ms. Taz — I didn’t watch SCD “live”, I “watched” SCD on YouTube (MrAtariST) and found a site where people uploaded full episodes. Yes, SCD has an official discussion board when the series is on. I think the BBC shuts it down during the “off season” (last year was my first SCD experience so I’m kind of a newbie there). Strangely enough, the official BBC discussion board is a reasonably happy, polite place (for the most part) in contrast to the back-stabbing, vitriolic nightmare that is ABC’s DWTS board. The team I was following had a dedicated fan thread (just like DWTS), and the folks on it were lovely and great with the cocktails and snacks (LOL).

@Ms. Taz and @Cidra – Yep, that’s me! I run his FB Fan Page too. I’ve been a supporter of his since Season 12 when he was with the troupe, and I knew he was going to be a hit when he became a pro. He reminds me a lot of Derek when he first started – unassuming, light-hearted and incredibly talented. He’s also great, and though I thought he did well with Nancy last season, I am LOVING his teamwork with Gladys this season. They are just such a joy to watch!
I had a splash of Bailey’s this evening with my coffee and thought of you all.

but it was only late afternoon when I came out with that one. Re. SCD — It’s once a year. (Maybe Len will be less cranky this Spring on DWTS because he won’t be jetsetting.) SCD will be on again in the fall. If it looks interesting, I’ll gather you up and take you over there to see if you like it. Ma’am, you can toast with anything – even good ol’ wholesome milk!
Love the relationship between Tristan and Gladys. Was happy to see Tristan’s arm slung across Gladys’s shoulders in the interview. Shows he’s becoming comfortable training “a legend”. I think Gladys is very pleased to have Tris as her pro.
