Backstreet Boy A.J. McLean Has Always Wanted To Dance on Dancing With The Stars

Awww, I love when rumor and wannabe season starts and how about this one from Contact Music via Perez Hilton about Backstreet Boy A.J. McLean (pictured above to the right in the white tank) wanting to dance? I have always loved the Backstreet Boys. I hope this happens.

And he isn’t the only member of the grown-up boyband with his sights set on reality Tv – A.J. MCLean is desperate to show off his dancefloor skills on U.S. show Dancing With the Stars.

Bandmate Howie Dorough explains, “The same year that Nick’s brother (Aaron Carter) did it (Dancing With the Stars) I was approached about doing it, but obviously couldn’t do it because of the fact we were embarking on a new record and touring.

“I know A.J. has always said he’s wanted to do it, for sure. He has almost begged to be on the show.”

Karina Smirnoff Says “No” to Honey Boo Boo And Her Mom For Dancing With The Stars

Do you blame her? I say “No!” to Honey Boo Boo (and her Mom!) as well and same with lowering the age requirement to do the show. What do you think?

PureDWTS Audience Casting Watch: Christie Brinkley, Danica McKellar, Adrienne Maloof….

Sometimes I have to wonder about the celebs who show up in the audience to watch Dancing With The Stars and if they might not be considering dancing on the show in the future? For instance, Emmitt Smith was in the audience for the Dancing With The Stars Season 14 finals (or was it the semi finals?). The next thing we know, he was picked to do the Dancing With The Stars All Stars season.

I also remember Christie Brinkley being in the audience for Season 14′s Semi Finals which brings me to this piece on Anderson Cooper yesterday with Christie doing a Samba with this season’s Dancing With The Stars All Star Gilles Marini.

Nice, huh?

During her run in “Chicago”, Access Hollywood asked Christie if she’d ever do Dancing With The Stars. She wouldn’t say yes or no. In fact, she said, “never say never”. She also said TPTB have asked her to do the show before, but, the timing has never been right.

While atttending “Chicago”, Kym Johnson said would like to see Christie dance and remarked “hopefully” Christie would do the show someday in this interview…. Read more..
