SPOILERS!!! DWTS Season 13, Week 9 – And the Finalists Are….

White space for those who might not want to know until later….you know retweets often put the first sentence in the tweet and it’s only polite to try to avoid that.

Your Finalists Are:

Rob Kardashian
Ricki Lake
JR Martinez

As predicted by nearly everyone, Hope and Maks are eliminated.

And a big shout out to one of the better Design A Dances – Derek Hough and Anna Trebunskaya!! We rarely see them dance together…I hope that changes because that was a HOT Paso Doble.

I'm a nerd and proud of it. Two degrees in geology also means I love BEER. :-) I'm also a Derek lover - proud of that too. So don't scream at those of us on this site and call us a bunch of "biased Derek-lovers" - it's just ME. :-) It may sound like I hate DWTS at times, but really, I'm just a snarky nitpicker from way back. And I'm cynical and jaded too. But I do love DWTS. :-)

DWTS Cheryl Burke New Face Of “Ideology” Activewear For Macy’s

Get ready to see Cheryl Burke in some really cool Macy’s ad’s coming up! She’s been selected as the face of “Ideology” which is a new brand of activewear in an era of bright colors like hot pink, lime green, and magenta. Below is a quote from Style Watch.

“The clothes are very me. They’re just like what I normally wear for rehearsals or to workout in, and the sports bras are quite possibly the best I’ve ever encountered,” Burke, who finished in second place with partner Rob Kardashian on Monday’s DWTS, tells WWD. “I’ve been a lifelong shopper at Macy’s, and when they approached me to come on board to be a spokesperson for Ideology, I jumped at the chance.”

According to Macy’s senior vice president of marketing, Nancy Slavin, Burke was chosen for her overall appeal. “She is known for her talent and athleticism, but she’s also very curvy and relatable to our customer,” she tells WWD. “I think our Ideology customer will respond to her energy and down-to-earth sensibility as much as to her very impressive achievements,” including her two DWTS wins.

I agree. Cheryl will represent the line perfectly. You can read more and also view a cool photo of Cheryl in the new line at Style Watch.

Dancing With The Stars Week 9 Interviews After The Dance Part 2 (Videos)

In part 2 of our interview posts, we have our couples answering questions from Access Hollywood and E On-line, but, first, let’s go to Good Morning America with Donny Osmond’s take on the night. He predicts Rob to take the Mirror ball next week! As much as I find Donny to be a little over the top at times, I have to agree. This is very possible for the reasons he said. Do you agree or disagree?

Louis Van Amstel also reviewed the night in his new blog. Once again, he nails it for the most part. This guy seriously gets my vote as being picked to be a 4th judge. Below is his overall view. More in detail at the link.

OVERALL: My finalists are Ricki, J.R. and Rob! Having said that, it’s going to be interesting to see what the votes will be tomorrow. Nothing against Hope or Maks because I love them, but from a dancing point of view, Rob clearly danced to make the final. Rob created while Hope was surviving. That’s how it came across.

As surprising as the judges’ Cha-Cha relay scores might be, I wasn’t surprised based on performance energy. If it were just dancing, the results could have been different.

I’m very excited for the finale next week. Both Ricki and J.R. have to up their game or Rob might become the “Seabiscuit” and create quite an upset. Don’t forget, many times the freestyle has been the deciding factor for who wins “Dancing With the Stars.”

Ok, on to the Access Hollywood interviews….

Dancing With The Stars Week 9 Interviews After The Dance Part 1 (Videos)

What a great semi-finals last night on Dancing On The Stars! Where do we start with interviews? I have to go with the On The Red Carpet (sorry, no interview with Maks and Hope is listed from them)!!

First up, we have Cheryl and Rob! His smile says it all! They discuss how they never thought he’d get this far in the competition, but, Rob’s work ethic is strong and he kept improving. Cheryl knew he could stay in this competition when he had the break through dance in week 3. Rob hopes he and Cheryl make it and he is in this thing to win the trophy. You can do it, Rob! Keep it up!

J.R. switched into his sneakers right after the show as soon as he could. J.R remarks how his dances didn’t feel right, but, Karina said they “looked” better than they “felt”. Because of his injury, J.R. wasn’t able to do the last lift in their Argentine Tango. They hope America voted them through and understand they had an off night. No matter what happens and if they go forward or not, Karina is proud of their amazing journey.

Ricki starts off the interview saying how her and Derek are perfectionists. Derek points out how they tried to take the pressure off this week by just having fun with it all and not worrying about the competitive part of it. Ricki doesn’t expect to win. She just wants to keep having a great time. Derek points out how much Ricki has changed and improved.

Stay tuned! We’ll be back with some more interviews shortly! 😉
