DWTS Season 20, Week 9 – Dancing by the Numbers
Well, there’s only one thing I’m reasonably certain of – Noah will make the finale. He might even win the whole damn thing and I wouldn’t be upset by that. Sharna (and CAI) did some amazing work last night. Just amazing.
As for the rest? Nastia had, by far, the strongest night of the remaining three – not that that means anything with this show. She’s handicapped by Derek…but possibly helped by his injury and that absolutely beautiful, tear jerking V. Waltz with Derek and Len. I cried. A lot. Something about a man Len’s age confessing he can no longer do what he loves. :::sob:::
Riker came in a very close second to Nastia for me. His first dance was absolutely fantastic – just amazing. The judge’s choice was really not that good. Too much Julianne…who couldn’t devote enough time to it to do it justice. Which is a shame, really, because Riker is a good, entertaining dancer.
Rumer had two good, solid dances but they suffered from the over hype (as is typical) by Val. It wasn’t all that, babe. I don’t even remember her first dance. Her second dance was a bit of a letdown. Interesting concept by Bruno, but I don’t think it served them that well. Both were well danced, as usual, but well danced doesn’t cut it in a semi-final where there is so much emotion.
But, all that said, the scores are close enough that anyone (except Noah) could be going home. I was surprised that they actually scored the first round fairly, handing out scores that I would have handed out. Shocking. But the two points that Rumer is down may not be enough to protect Riker or Nastia. It’s too close to call. If the weakest dancer last night went home, it would be Rumer. Not that she’s weak…but I think the other three had it over her. But something tells me that they’ve successfully brainwashed the audience into voting her into the finale. Out of Riker and Nastia, I tend to give Nastia the edge. But who knows? Let’s look at the leader board.
Argh. Annoying that they gave everyone a 30 in the second round, when I think that neither Riker nor Rumer really deserved it. But, as they often do when it’s close, they throw it to the audience to make the decision. Something tells me they won’t make the right one this time around. We’ll see.
So, Noah is at the bottom of the leaderboard. Although I think he did an amazing, truly inspirational job this season, last night was the topper – but all that said, I would rather Rumer, Riker and Nastia go to the finale. That ALSO said, I won’t be upset with whoever goes home tomorrow night. I got Derek for ten weeks regardless….and I have a feeling that maybe the producers have finally pushed him too far, so we might not see him on this stage again.
I digress. What does Noah need to make the finale?? Not much.
That’s really nothing at this stage of the game and I think he makes it easily. I could be wrong. It’s always possible that one fan group or another gets over confident, or another fan group seeing that proposal knows they could be screwed.
Next is Rumer. Rumer is two points ahead of Noah and two points behind Riker and Nastia. Again, not a lot of work required for her to be safe.
For Rumer to be safe tomorrow night, she needs ONE of the following things to happen:
- Noah fails to get the 7,300 votes per million votes cast to beat her, OR;
- Rumer gets 7,300 more votes per million votes cast than EITHER Riker or Nastia.
That’s it. And I have no idea what will happen. For me, Rumer was the least memorable last night. She kinda faded into the woodwork. But they have a media machine going for them, in addition to the lion’s share of the actual show last night.
For Nastia or Riker to be safe tomorrow night, they need ONE of the following to happen (same rules apply to each of them since they are tied):
- Noah fails to get the 14,600 votes per million votes cast to beat him/her, OR;
- Rumer fails to get the 7,300 votes per million votes cast to beat him/her, OR;
- One of them gets ONE MORE vote per million votes cast than the other.
No idea what’s going to happen.
But I have to make a guess. I think that Noah is passing Rumer and Riker for sure. Not so sure about Nastia, as she had the great Len tribute dance at the end of the show. I think Noah is safe.
That leaves me with the other three. Based purely on demographics, I lean toward Nastia getting the one vote needed to beat Riker. Does Rumer get past her? Hard to say, but based on last night I would say no. I *THINK* Nastia might be safe. But the other half of me thinks that Derek is too big a liability these days. I can’t decide.
I tend to think that Nastia gets the one vote over Riker. That would bring us down to Riker and Rumer. Rumer was more consistent last night, but Riker had the more exciting first dance. I kinda feel like the second dance let Riker down a bit. While I wasn’t overly impressed with Rumer’s second dance, I feel like it was better executed that Riker’s.
Honestly, I’m leaning toward Riker going home tonight but it could be ANYONE. I won’t be surprised by whoever it is.
One more week until Heidi can read books and sleep. 😀 Until MOVE Live on Tour starts up, anyway. 😉
Wow, these are small numbers, Princess Heidi! Like you, I think that the judges are throwing it to the voting audience to decide which three will go to the finals. And like you, I thought that last night, Rumer had the weakest dances in terms of choreography. By this time, I’ve learned to take Val’s hype of the dances that he creates as just that–hype.
Agreed, too, that Noah makes it to the finals. I definitely think he’s beating at least Rumer in the votes. I do hope that Nastia makes it to the finals as well. Would love to see her Freestyle.
Thank you for the number crunching, Princess H!
I completely agree with you that the only one I feel certain will be in the finale is Noah. I’m good with that and good with them winning if it comes to that. I’ll be terribly sad if Nastia/Derek/Sasha don’t make it to the finals. I’m kind of wishing they would just have a 4 person finals. I know they want Rumer in til the end to keep Demi around and hope for Bruce appearance. And I like her well enough so I don’t mind her being there, but I’d look most forward to a freestyle line up choreographed by Derek, Sharna, and Allison if it has to be only 3.
I hate val so much! He is screwing Rumer with his awful choreography and I think she’s an amazing dancer one of the best the show has had but Vals choreography is boring and not creative. I’m still pulling for Ms Rumer though
I think that the judges gave all the dances 10s from an ego standpoint, and my dad agrees. I think they were more worried about angering their fellow judges, and while I think that’s a shallow reason to give straight 10s, it ends up with everyone with super tight scores.
I want the final 3 to be Nastia, Riker, and Noah. I threw all of my votes to Riker last night because I was worried about his demographic. Honestly, I think it would be kinda cool karma if Riker ended up going though over Rumer because the Val fans spent too much time spamming the polls to actually vote. That’s what I hope happens, anyway.
Quick question, kind of unrelated to numbers: If Nastia wins, does Sasha get a trophy?
If I had to call it, I’d say Riker goes home…..This season was tough.
I’d like to see Noah in the finals, but that poor guy is getting so much hate out there already because he’s “not really dancing”. FB people be crazy.
I hear people like Riker not Allison. Then you have Val fans who don’t like Rumer and Rumer fans who don’t like Val. Dereklovers and Derek haters. It’s just all over the place. Whoever wins, I don’t think it will be by a landslide. At this point anyone can win.
Thanks PH. I agree that Noah will be safe tonight. I had originally thought Rumer would go home tonight with an outside chance of Riker if his fans are feeling he is pretty safe and don’t vote. I had felt pretty confident about Nastia until looking at your numbers. It really could be anyone going home. I do hope it is Rumer. Rumer/Val’s dances just fall flat and are too safe.
I agree that Riker will be leaving tonight. I think he has done a great job, but his demographic appeal is going to finally catch up to him. Also interesting to note that Val confirmed Rumer is doing some of the DWTS tour this summer……and SWAY (called that weeks ago to my friends).
This might be the most uncertain I’ve felt about an elimination in a long time. So many factors to consider, and I agree that I think Noah is the only choice I have confidence in for the finale. The other three are all very possible, but I would say that if I have a choice, I’d rather Rumer and Val be eliminated if only because I don’t trust him to do a good freestyle – but then again, she has that aerial experience, so maybe they’d do that.
But Riker’s fanbase is questionable, and although I think he picked up a lot of fans throughout the season, I think Rumer did too.
Between Derek-hate and Derek-love, and the rough few weeks for Nastia culminating in that amazing last dance on Monday, I just think it’s up in the air.
I literally change my mind every 10 minutes about who is going home. I do feel confident in saying it’s between Rumer and Riker though and if they are honest tonight they will have them as the bottom 2 as well.
Rumer didn’t come into the show with a very big voting base but think the producers have done quite a bit of brainwashing and giving her maximum camera time. I also think she’s more likable than Val’s past few partners and people buy into the whole “it’s XYZ’s season to win”. That being said, the conspiracy theorist in me thinks all the pimping and the constant “make sure to dial slowly” talk means she isn’t getting votes.
Riker does have a voting fan base but I don’t know how seriously they take it. DWTS hardcore fans spend hours voting – are R5 fans doing that as well? Part of me says no. Also, I don’t think Riker has emotionally connected with the audience. While I think Rumer was the weakest last night her package was more impactful than Riker’s. As far as freestyles go I would MUCH rather see a Riker freestyle than a Rumer one.
Point being, I have no idea what’s going to happen tonight. I normally have a gut feeling but I really don’t this time.
Just hope tonight’s results show is not another repeat of last weeks infosnoozefest of Val & Rumer. You know Val & Rumer r safe, Val & Rumer dance an encore, Val & Rumer backstage, etc etc.
Last night I needed tissues, tonight maybe a barf bag. lol
My gut says Rumer’s getting the votes to beat Riker. I wouldn’t be surprised if I was wrong though.
@Aviva No Sasha doesn’t get a trophy and why should he really. Derek does all the choreography, Sasha has stood in for a couple of weeks and has done what he’s told (and does it very well). Plus Derek’s pretty much said he’ll be dancing in the final should they make it. Anyway Sasha might be getting a prize much better than any trophy, a pro spot on season 21?
If Riker does go home tonight, I think it will become an easy win for Val in the finale. Derek might not get as many votes because he has won so many times, and Val can really milk his “I’ve never won before” story. I think similar to Amy the inspirational story will get Noah to the finale but it doesn’t necessarily mean he will win. Rallison freestyle could have stolen the never ending spot light they shine on valenrue, but if they are not in the finals then I can see Val finally getting his preciously rigged MBT.
Results shows and eliminations drive me crazy especially when everything is so close. Normally I would split my votes between Riker and Nastia since these are really the only two I truly care if they went to the finales or not but I had to give Riker all my votes because I’m honestly worried about his fans.
I thought Rumer was great but Val’s choreo really isn’t up to par compared to the other three while though I love Noah his dancing really can’t be compared to the other three
It would suck to see anyone go home but I think out of the four I would miss Rumer least. But at this point I wouldn’t be surprised if anyone of them gets sent home.
Oh, this is way too close for my liking! I know who I want to go home but the only way I will be upset is if Nastia is the one to leave. She was so great last and I want her to make to the finals. I agree that Noah will be there as well- what a huge accomplishment for him and Sharna!
@Jenni #12, One thing you’re not thinking about, should Riker leave tonight, is that both Derek and Sharna are VERY MUCH stronger choreographers, and there are a LOT of people who tune in to watch the finale episodes, and who vote for the first time. The freestyles do matter, and I trust both Sharna and Derek to craft 2 exceptional freestyles for Noah and Nastia. I don’t trust Val to craft an exceptional freestyle for Rumer.
Having said this, I fully expect Noah and Sharna to win it all. They will cram down the viewers throats the fact that Derek has won 5 times already, so many of those newer voters may pause before clicking the Vote for Nastia and Derek button, because the little league mentality rules this country, and they’ll want someone who hasn’t won yet…. And, which one will have the more memorable freestyle and season? Noah and Sharna.
Unfortunately, Riker and Allison will be going home tonight. I think I must be the only one on this site that really ENJOYED Riker and Allison’s Argentine Tango, and I’m fine with that. I loved that they both seemed to have more control than they normally do in their dances, and the music very surprisingly seemed to me as if it fit!
By some SMALL chance Rumer and Val are at the bottom, I fully expect that TPTB will suddenly decide at the last minute, that since everyone danced so well last night, we’ll have a 4 person finale next week. I don’t think they will want to have Rumer and Val eliminated, after all of the work they went through to make sure she was in the finals.
And a complete aside, I seem to have a bug on my computer, because anytime I’m on this site today, I get a LOT of ads popping up, and everytime, the site jumps up to one certain spot, and it will not allow any scrolling, and I need to refresh the whole site. Just typing this look 5 refreshes, and I’m lucky my text didn’t disappear! As I said, it’s just me, and just frustrated. And it’s just here, no where else.
Lori, that crossed my mind as well – that if Rumer is in the bottom suddenly everyone will be safe and we’ll have a four person finale.
So, Tom tweeted this: “Tonight: just over 1% of votes/scores separates bottom 2 couples (1.15 % to be exact). @DancingABC Results 2nite at 8/7 C on @ABCNetwork” Yikes! Too close! Now I’m both excited and nervous, when earlier I was just excited.
Interesting and good point, Lori. It’s been “Val’s season” all along, but Sharna has never won either.
I hope that this isn’t Derek’s last season, but what do you think the producers have done to push him this time? The package last week? Or is it something else?
For different reasons, I also think he might be ready to move on, if only because he might be more aware of the risk of injury, and may want to spare himself for the projects he cares most about. I also think that, as good as the dances he’s put together this season have been, they are not as strong as his work in prior seasons, due to his packed schedule etc., and he is not likely to want to continue if he can’t put his all into it week after week. That said, history has shown that you can’t count him out until the very last minute, right?
I do wish Julianne would dance more, though — she was great with Riker. One thought, as much as Alison has improved this season over last, I don’t love her as a pro partner. She’s too strong a dancer and doesn’t have the full ballroom skill set to really be able to take a supporting role with a celebrity. One thing that is really underrated about the pros is how well most of them manage to match their level to their celebrities (Mark has gotten so much better on this front, too), and Alison may not be able to do that. I’d rather see Lindsay get another shot — she would do well with the right partner, or bring back Karina. It would be nice to see some female pros over 35 on the show — Kym is likely to go back to Australia, so there’s an opening.
I really enjoyed the show last night and I have no idea who is going home. I hope that Derek and Nastia get to the finals just because she is such a talented dancer and I love Derek’s freestyles. Plus, getting Derek on my TV for another week is just a treat for me.
Everyone has done great this season. I know a lot of people are saying Noah will make the finals but I have also seen a lot of complaining about his lack of dancing at this point so I am not sure. He is inspiring to watch and I enjoy his dances. I feel that Rumor’s dances were the less memorable of the evening but on this show anything can happen. I was positive Zendaya was going to win so I sure can’t call this one.
I am scared the results for the first time in a long time. Tom tweeted there’s only 1.5% of votes that separate the bottom two couple which means it could be anybody. My bet is still on Riker or Rumer though. I just don’t think their fan bases voted for them enough. Vals fans were so caught up in polls and blaming Derek for their two 9s for whatever reason. I also think Riker’s fans are too young to realize they have to actually vote and not just talk about voting. I actually wouldn’t be too surprised if they end up eliminating no one and making it a four person finale either. The producers probably have next week all planed out and don’t have time for that though.
PH and Lori….that crossed my mind too, especially because all of Tom’s tweets have said the word “goodbye” or “elimination” and this week he didn’t say anything like that. 4 freestyles in an hour is not a time crunch at all.
The performance show is only 1-hour next week. I don’t think they have time for a 4 person finals….
There was a lot of good dancing last night, but not many memorable dances for me. Personally, it’s Nastia’s two dances that I’m going to be re-watching the most. The girl is both a powerhouse and a princess. (DWTS, please give Sasha Farber a partner next season.) Riker is my second favorite but I was left a little underwhelmed by his dances, I don’t know, I guess that I was just expecting something more unique. I love Noah, but I really would like to see the final three be the best dancers, which is Nastia, Rumer, and Riker. I noticed that the music for Noah’s Paso was the same music as Kellie Pickler’s Paso. I remember Carrie Ann, coming out of her seat and walking around the desk to hug Kellie for her performance. If Noah should win, it wouldn’t upset me at all, I just believe that great dancing should get the trophy. I was really impressed with the judges and their concepts, pleasantly surprised. But the show’s pimping of Rumer and Val is nauseating. Listening to All Access last night, you would think that Rumer is blowing away the competition. Honest to God, sometimes, it was like Nastia isn’t even in the running.
Yeah, after thinking about it, I don’t think there will be time for a four person finale either. They have to dance more than just freestyles so there isn’t gonna be enough time for that unless they somehow extend an hour.
@Lori #15 I totally agree with what you’re saying; Kellie Pickler’s freestyle a prime example of freestyle game changers and Val’s shortcomings in that department. I haven’t forgotten. What I mean is I see the win for Val being more likely if only one strong dancer (Nastia) remains, who hasn’t been portrayed so positively in packages and whose partner has won many times. I think it makes it easier for Val, especially with the help of the constant promotion Rumer will surely get even in the finale. But of course I don’t expect Sharna and Derek to just stand there and let it happen.
I have to agree that it is pretty much anyone’s game at this point. And after last night I have made my peace with all outcomes. In their own way all the celebrities deserve it.
Don’t get me wrong, as a Derek fan, I obviously hope that he and Nastia make it to the finals – from a fan perspective, if he is going to move on, then one last freestyle would be a fitting conclusion to his time on the show. In addition, I think last night Nastia showed she is an outstanding dancer who deserves to be there. Over the season, she has had a huge growth curve addressing all of the issues they have thrown at her e.g. dancer vs gymnast and emotional connection. She has improved each week whilst managing her travel, Derek’s injury and partner swaps. I think she definitely deserves it. Nonetheless, if they do go, it was amazing to see Derek back for the Waltz and that final dance has made me properly sob everytime I watched it – love the fact that Derek still respects Len despite it all. Lovely way for Len to say goodbye too.
Despite the (very blatant) spin elsewhere from TPTB all season, I have suspected that Noah might win from the time he was announced. He seems charming and ticks lots of boxes that the typical (non-obsessive!) viewer would vote for whilst being blessed with an outstanding choreographer and partner in Sharna. Even if it puts out my favourite, I don’t begrudge them the place in the final.
I think it really is too close to call between Riker and Rumor. In both couples I like both of the celebrities – slight preference for Rumor; and am not sure about the pros – definite preference for Alison! Think that over the season Riker and Alison deserve it more in terms of the memorable dances, but pimpage (so, so blatant!) might sway the casual viewer. Last night I felt that at the end of the night, I had seen a lot of Rumor, though her dances were not the most memorable or high impact!
Like people above, did wonder if they might abandon their commitment to a 3 person final, especially if it is Rumor they would lose. Would not break my heart to see all four next week.
Genuinely hope that whoever gets through, we could have a positive finale. Watching the standard last night, it would be really nice if it was the dancing that spoke and each contestant who was judged, not their partner. A girl can dream!!
@EPmusic, don’t forget that the Finale Performance episode has always been an hour long, and there’s been enough time for the last few seasons with 4 person finals. They may have to adjust some timings, but it is doable.
@Lori- I think for the past few seasons the Performance Finale has been 2 hours. With 4 couples they did 2 individual dances and then a dance off/relay of some kind. Since there is only one hour this time around (there is the 2 hour bachelorette finale right after), to me it only makes sense that there would be three couples.
Heidi, well done again!!! I can’t decide who will go home tonight. I’m so confused. I think it will be between Noah and Rumer. I’d rather it be Rumer, but, I’m afraid it’s Noah. But yeah,…it if is RUMER, then what if there is no elimination like what Lori mentioned? UGGH
Didn’t they announce last night that the finale is going to be on a Saturday? Maybe I heard it wrong though
There is going to be a Road to the Finale special on Saturday May 16th. Then the finale is on May 18th and 19th.
I am so confused as to who could be going home tonight. It is just so close.
Ive been reading different boards and sources and it seems like Rumer is the fan-favorite of the general audience so I dont think she will be eliminated. I really like her and I hope she stays.
Man, now after reading PH’s number post and Tom’s tweet, I’m getting very worried that Riker & Allison are going to be eliminated tonight, which makes me mad/sad because I think they had the better night over Rumer & Val and deserve (in my opinion) to be in the finals. I will be SHOCKED if Noah & Sharna or Nastia & Derek goes home – especially Noah, I think he had the best night overall.
@ Lori #15, I also really liked Riker & Allison’s AT. I liked their Contemporary more but I still liked their AT. Their dance kind of reminded me of Jacoby & Karina’s AT with the all-black outfits and the small stage – very intimate but powerful. Plus, I love seeing Julianne dance. I may be wrong, but I think this is the first time she’s danced AT on the show!
lucy1/doris/Danielle/Helen/nancy/Melissa/etc. etc. etc., PICK ONE NAME.
Confirmed w/DT: somebody absolutely IS getting eliminated tonight. There was already talk behind-the-scenes about having to scramble to edit packages together as soon as the results were final this morning for the finale promos to start airing immediately after tonight’s show.
Thanks for the intel, Court – is it Riker, Rumer, or Nastia, is the big question. I can’t decide. After the show my first thought was Riker, but then Rumer, and then I convinced myself it was Nastia. I am back to Riker, but that’ll change in a few minutes, I’m sure.
It’s scary how close it is but I don’t think it’s Nastia. She had a breakthrough and two standout performances last night. I’m leaning towards riker and Noah or riker and rumer.
Courtney, does DT mean that the producers have a result for the finale that they did not expect? Sorry if that is an obvious question but wondered if that was what was meant.
@Judyl – DT meant that, as soon as they had the results this morning, the editing team was going to have to scramble to get the footage together from the 3 couples that made it in order to create the promos for the finale that would start airing right after the results show. It didn’t mean there was an “unexpected” result; the plan all along was for them to scramble as soon as they had the results. If they had opted for a 4-person finale, I think someone would have called an audible and changed the plan. The fact that it was “business as usual” tells me that nothing changed.
It kinda makes me feel bad for Riker for being just a young dude with a normal childhood and non famous parents. Weird to say but that doesnt get you many votes… Lol jk
We know it could b anyone, but Id take Riker over Rumer and Noah any day. If they stay over him I wonder how Noah is gonna top last night, and how Val can top that Swan Lake dance anything less than that would be underwhelming. I have more faith on Sharna coming up w somethin awesome thought.
My mind scenarios:
If Riker happens to be safe then Im sure is Rumer and theyll put Nastia w her for extra drama.
If the last two are Rumer and Riker is probably Riker. I just hope is Rumer.
I wonder if Rumers family public support (I thought Rumer wanted to do this to separate from her parents shadow but apparently the don’t mind the exposure either) could win her the trophy… Or, could it be compared to the Kardhasians and Osbournes?
I don’t think it was too much Julianne in Riker’s AT, I absolutely loved her in this routine & it was so good to see her back on the dancefloor! But that’s of course only my opinion.
Tonight will be a really tough elimination & Tom’s tweet about it makes me even more nervous. I really hope that it’s not Riker who is going home tonight, I really want to see him in the finale!
I don’t even think that Noah has the finale spot in the bag…Let’s see what happens tonight, anything could happen as most of you called it.
I figure they will call Noah immediately safe tonight and then leave the other three standing at the end.
OR, they will call Nastia or Rumer immediately safe, followed by the other one, leaving Riker and Noah standing at the end.
Just guessing though. They like to call the lowest scorer safe right away…but they also like to put their favorite in jeopardy in order to generate more votes the following week.
I figure that if Riker is going home, it makes it more of a shocker to call Nastia safe first and then Rumer and leave Noah and Riker, the “general” prediction will have Noah leave but *shocker* it’ll be Riker.
See, as shocking as Willow’s exit was, she was standing in the faux B2 with another frontrunner so it was gonna be a shock no matter what.
I find the shocking exits more shocking when the person in the faux B2 is someone most people expect to go. (Example: Sabrina leaving when places next to Cameron Mathison, Christina Milian leaving next to Leah).
Is there gonna be an encore dance again? the judges choose who dances again not knowing the results, right? I wonder if they’ll announce if the encore couple is safe/jeopardy after they dance. like last week
I really liked Riker’s Argentine Tango too, Lori #15. Normally, I throw him a few votes but last night I had to give them all to Nastia and Derek.
It was a really good semi-final. For the last few weeks, I’ve ended up being mad on a Monday night because of the judge’s comments, pimping, etc. but last night I thought they all did well. I really didn’t care for Rumer & Val’s VW, but I did like the Swan Lake routine. I would have no problem with Noah winning it all, but my favorites are Riker and Nastia. That was a really nice tribute to Len and it was good to see Derek dancing again.
I ended up getting annoyed this morning though when I woke up, turned on the TV in time to hear Lara Spencer announcing “Rumer’s Road to the Mirror Ball” or something to that effect. Then in the piece they did it was all about Rumer with Demi’s interview etc. Finally they did show the other couples. This is why I can’t believe that anyone other than Rumer & Val will win this thing. It was decided on night 1 when Len announced that it was Val’s year and it hasn’t let up since. Will they really count the votes? I don’t know but I sure hope so. I think they are so desperate to have Val win the MBT since he’s the headliner of the DWTS tour.
Anyhow, anxiously awaiting tonight’s results!
The fact it remains a 3 person final kind of makes me think Rumer definitely made it through. The only way I think they would have done a 4 person final is if she was at the bottom. Unless logistically they just can’t do a 4 person final now no matter what.
I think they’ll say Noah is safe first though to let the other three sweat it out.
Thanks izzieq! lol at lotus, your post is true. Noah just because of circumstances and chance, he hasn’t overcome any major tragedy, nor has he had any hugely significant life event or famous parents, etc.
@Jane5 how is val the headliner of the tour? I didn’t know that.
I tihnk Nastia and Derek will leave tonight. Nastia is an amazing dancer but she is not likeable at all. People vote for personality
Oops i meant riker. Noah has overcome tragedy, rumer has famous parents, nastia is an olympian, but riker his story didn’t have a big definining moment or somesthing to win over the audience that we could relate to, you know.
@jennylynn – regarding Val – just my personal opinion that he’s the most popular of the pros they have this year. He and Peta are “the face” of DWTS on FB, logos, etc. and “it’s his year”
Thanks for trolling, come again soon. :::rolls eyes:::
Guess I better turn on comment moderation.
Ok, I’m TOTALLY not a numbers person so can someone tell me, since Noah was safe and Nastia went home, does that mean Noah was NEVER in jeopardy and in fact had to have beaten EVERYONE in the fan vote numbers to have been called safe?
Every time I think I JUST about have it figured out, I have a brain fart and lose my grip on the numbers.
No one knows Angie, who the person in the bottom with Nastia was. Noah could have been in jeopardy, or it could have been Riker or Rumer.
I’ll take your word for it PH since my specialty is delivering babies and not crunching numbers. It just seems logical to me that if Noah needed to get 14,599 votes per million to beat Riker/Nastia & Nastia ended up going home,( IF the lowest scoring couple ACTUALLY went home,) then Noah had to have also beaten at least Rumer and Nastia in the fan votes. Not trying to be a pain, just trying to understand the numbers game a bit.
Is it possible that the new producer does not even care what the numbers were from the fans and is just manipulating who goes home for a predetermined agenda? Would they be that low as to just do this for the shock and awe for ratings??? I don’t care if no one sees this posting, just had to put out this screwy idea.
GinnyD – I wouldn’t put anything past the producers. This show has become so manipulated it’s not even fun to watch anymore
