Media Roundup Sean Lowe Talks on Rehearsals, Challenges, And Goals For Dancing With The Stars
We have more media for Sean Lowe and Peta Murgatroyd. Below is Sean on Access Hollywood last night. He talks of rehearsing in seclusion with Peta for several weeks. He says he plans to show a lot of skin on the show this season. His future Bachelor wife, Catherine Guidici, plans to be sitting in the front row every night (are these two in real love? I can’t decide?). You’ll also get to see him and Peta taking pics for their Title shoot….
Sean and his future wife were also on E News last night. Sean talks of why he decided to do Dancing With The Stars. He did it because he likes to embrace challenges. He says don’t count he and Peta out of this competition. They have been rehearsing like everyone else these last few weeks and are driven and working hard. He’s not a natural dancer, but, he’s having fun learning all the new dances. You can watch this interview HERE.
Sean and Catherine were also on Entertainment Tonight. He talks of what a relief it is to have the secret out of him dancing. He is going to try his hardest to win Dancing With The Stars. He is the most worried on Jacoby being his biggest competition.
What do you think Guys? Is he going to be one of your favorites?
Watch this spot. If more media comes out on these two today, we’ll post it here. Lots on tap today. Stay tuned!
xx
ADDING: Here is more wtih TV Guide. Be sure to read the article at the link too. Peta talks of how she expects them to reach the finals, how they’ve created their own dance called the “Murgalowe”, and more.

Well at least now It’s out in the open that these two have been rehearsing secretly. Thank Goodness, we don’t have to endure another Sabrina repeat with the hosts continuously repeating that these two just met a week ago…. blah, blah, blah.
It’s great that Famewhore (oops sorry, I meant Sean) is taking this opportunity to finally focus on his new love Catherine. Oh yeah, that’s right, he chose his 5 minutes of fame instead. Silly me.
Argh! In every video “Are you going to go shirtless?” Stop! No! In one of them Catherine says that that’s what everyone wants, so he will. Please understand, not all of us want to watch a shirtless Sean. Thank you.
So Peta in the other interview said they’ve been practicing one week and here he says it has been several. He thinks Jacoby will be his competition? Methinks Mr. Bachelor is in for a rude awakening,
Anyone noticing that “skin” seems to be Peta’s MO with her partners now? I’m starting to like her less & less.
To be fair, Sean was known for taking off his shirt way back when he was one of the bunch in Emily’s “Bachelorette” season and was heavily promoted in his season for having his shirt off more often than on, so in this case, they are playing to what his… HIS public wants. All those fans that DWTS is hoping to pull over from The Bachelor all want to see Sean shirtless. God knows why it’s so special, but there it is.
I was really excited about this pairing at first (and I love Peta!), but, I’m getting more turned off of him by the minute. I get an off feeling about him and his future wife…greediness, ego (which reminds me of Gilles last season)? I don’t like it when they take off their shirts either. Maybe once is ok, but, don’t over do it and don’t over talk it as it’s a turn off for most.
I’m hoping the show brings up that he’s supposedly…re-virginized or some such crapola. Make a big deal out of his religion combined with his willingness to remove his clothing. Then let’s see how long he lasts.
And really, Peta is rapidly becoming my least favorite female pro. Talk about a crutch. It doesn’t help that I don’t find him even remotely attractive.
Ok, check the post again if interested. Another interview has been added from TV Guide. Read the article link too for everything Peta says.
I hate to say it, but, I’m starting to feel off on Peta too. I love her and I’m going to try and be open until we see them dance, etc, but, this is reminding me of Maks and why he lost me as a fan.
I know nothing about the bachelor nor care to. My annoyance is with Peta. She’s sure they’ll make the finals? In what universe? They’re going up against the huge fanbases of Dorothy, Aly, Jacoby, and Wynona. Not to mention those that look like great dancers like Kellie and Zendaya. In my opinion, they won’t make it to the halfway point, let alone the finals. Doesn’t Peta know that Donald and his fans got them the win? In my opinion, she comes across as arrogant.
Evaine re shirtless Sean: God knows why it’s so special, but there it is.
Too funny!
I know, that re-virginized crapola!, how ridiculous, but it’s OK to be physical with all these woman as long as it’s everything but, and it since it’s his “job” being the bachelor and all.
Oh, and we don’t want our wedding on TV just to be on TV. Oh no, we want to just have a special celebration with our family and friends who now include the producers and all those associated with the show.
PH, say what???? “re-virginized”? Who came up with that foolishness? Does some priest “absolve” you of having had sex, sprinkle you with holy water, and wham-o you’re “pure” again? Wonder how much you have to pay for something like that? *shakes head in bemusement*
My biggest beef with Peta right now is that she doesn’t seem to keep her partners in check – every partner she’s had seems to be running the show (Donald included, although he was a master of PR and knew how to paint himself in a positive light), and she’s just along for the ride. Metta did as he pleased, Donald did as he pleased, Gilles did as he pleased, and now Sean seems to be doing as he pleases – and Peta just lets it happen. Say what you will about some of the other pros being hard on their partners, but every single one of them knows when & how to assert their authority as the pro, and they don’t let partners with an out-of-control ego run roughshod over them and ultimately torpedo the partnership. I don’t know whether she does it out of insecurity, a desire to please, or just plain apathy – but Peta has yet to really put her foot down and say “Ok, I’m the pro, and that’s a bad idea – I say we’re doing this instead.” And the big consequence is partnerships that people seem to love to hate, due to the male celeb’s ego – Meta & Peta, Gilles & Peta, and now it’s looking like Sean & Peta are going to be another pairing that makes us go “Uggggh!” And even though I don’t like to bring it up, I think her relationship with Maks was much the same way – Maks was running the show and she was along for the ride. The end result is me just not having a lot of respect for her, because she just seems more & more like a doormat to me.
Hell, even Cheryl (who I think checked out after season 14) still knows how to assert her authority…
And this is what bothers me about people like Sean and Peta (Cheryl) etc. When they say, oh his fans or whoever want to see him with his shirt off so we just have to give them what they want.
Really? Why do you have to give people you don’t know anything. Oh that’s right, because you have no sense of self or self-respect and what else could you possible do. Well you could maybe rely on choreography and personality……oh wait I guess not.
What if your fans wanted you to jump off a bridge or do a porn movie? Is there a point when people whose sole sense of self is derived from desperation to be famous that they choose not to say yes. Of course. I always find it amusing when, as in the case of Gilles and Peta, they were upset and surprised at their early (not early enough) exit.
Peta is turning into latter Cheryl a little early. Arrogant and, let’s just take your shirt off, that’ll do cause people love that. Very sad.
I think you’re very close to the mark about Peta, Court. There is a pattern of behavior that can be drawn upon. (And I did think from the beginning that she was too um… ‘soft’ to make Maks happy in the long run) And in the case of Sean, it would not surprise me in the least if the producers didn’t at the very least HINT that more possibilities of shirtlessness, the better. Sean has no problem with disrobing, that’s for sure.
@Courtney
I totally agree with your theory. It’s my impression of Peta as well.
I posted this yesterday in one of the other articles on here (not sure which one though) But I thought it was fitting to go right here:
This is What Chris Harrison said in an interview yesterday and having proclaimed Sean as probably winning this season of DWTS.
Here’s what he said in an interview this morning.
How do you feel about Sean doing “Dancing with the Stars?”
Harrison: I understand it from Sean’s perspective, but I got to be honest, I’m slightly disappointed. People are going to automatically think, “You are now a reality star and you are a fame whore,” which is sad because that’s not him. I wish him well and I think he’ll win the thing, I just wish he had shown the world that he did The Bachelor for all the right reasons and he’s ready to go back to his life with Catherine. If something possibly goes wrong with Catherine, people will think that’s the reason. It opens himself up to stuff he didn’t need right now. But, again, I get it.
To put it simply…Peta is mistaking Bruno as your average audience member. Ummm…no.
Yep, Evaine – the impression I’m getting is that Peta is more of a follower, and not much of a leader. Someone who’d rather take the path of least resistance and hang with the crowd, as opposed to going against the grain and standing alone…and unfortunately in her case, it’s nothing ventured, nothing gained. I have yet to see a truly mind-blowing work of choreography from her…and the most creative routine I’ve seen her dance with a partner (Donald’s freestyle), actually turned out to be Karina’s idea. I’m convinced she just got very, very lucky with Donald – because so far, I have yet to see anything from her that convinces me that she’s a truly MBT-worthy pro.
Wow! Donald’s freestyle was Karina’s idea. Is there more to that story, C? Or is it insider info that you can’t go into detail about?
@mmc – It’s not insider info – in fact, I actually read it in one of the post-seaon 14 interviews Peta did, and she actually admitted that it was Karina’s idea. If jimmbboe’s lurking, he might be able to find the link – I know I tweeted it to him back in May of last year. Apparently Karina was the one that suggested the song, and thought it might be cute & “unexpected” for Donald to do a country western-themed routine. I got the impression that it was something she threw out during the week that she was in Donald & Peta’s trio jive, because she & Peta seemed pretty buddy-buddy at that point, and everyone seemed to love Donald. But anyway – the choreography was Peta’s, but the idea (which is the hardest part of a freestyle, IMO) was all Karina’s.
@mmc – Found it: http://xfinity.comcast.net/blogs/tv/2012/05/22/dwts-donald-driver-confident-after-cowboy-freestyle-give-us-the-mirror-ball/
Okay, I always give people a chance. Always. If I’m giving DL & Andy a chance, I am willing to give Sean one. I really hope he pleasantly surprises me like Andy…and doesn’t go full douchebag like I’m expecting DL too.
Sadly, I have to agree with the consensus on Peta. I really liked her with Donald, but I also feel like she just lets people walk all over her. And with that, things just don’t turn out to be anything special. Take Maks, for example. No, I don’t always like the way he teaches, but his willingness to assert his authority gets shit done, at least most of the time. Derek, Mark, even Kym, at times, all show tough love to their partners, but I wouldn’t say their results are anything to sneeze at. Quite the opposite.
I actually agree with Mr. Harrison on Sean’s participation. I’ve looked up Sean to get a feel of his personality, and he actually seems like a nice guy. I fear that no matter what his intentions, that is likely going to put him in the “famewhore light.” What his true intentions are, I know not. But reality stars (fresh ones in particular) have to be careful with these sort of things.
