ABC MediaNet has released official show details for the Dancing With The Stars Season 19 premiere. Note how SMOKEY ROBINSON and ALOE BLACC will be performing on Tuesday night. “Episode 1901” — “Dancing with the Stars” is back with an all-new celebrity cast and fresh show format. The competition begins with the two-hour season premiere, MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 15 (8:00-10:01 p.m., ET). The premiere episode will kick off with a spectacular live opening number featuring the entire cast and judges. Each couple will then perform a Cha Cha, Foxtrot or Jive, vying for America’s vote for the first time.
“Episode 1901A” — “Dancing with the Stars: The Results” two-night premiere continues on TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 16 (8:00-9:00 p.m., ET) where one couple will be eliminated by combining the judges’ scores from Monday night’s performance with the public votes. The Tuesday night show will feature music legend SMOKEY ROBINSON performing a duet of “My Girl” with ALOE BLACC off of Robinson’s new album, “Smokey and Friends.” The show will also feature a special dance number performed by the three new pros: Allison Holker, Keo Motsepe and Artem Chigvintsev.
This year is unprecedented in terms of the level of interactivity. ABC.com will be offering five live streams from key positions at the show venue, allowing fans to choose views of the Red Room, judges, sky box, a wide angle of the dance floor and a hosted feed that will highlight relevant social media conversations. Throughout the season, fans will also have opportunities to participate in the outcome of the show, using social media to weigh in on everything from songs, dance styles, and even partners.
