Dancing with the Stars Season 20, Week THREE – Who’s Dancing What…and When?
Okay, we’re trying something new. We’re putting this up on Tuesdays and updating as we find out information – as long as we’ll get no one in trouble, that is. 🙂 Note that next week is Latin Week. Below are some of the dances. Be sure to check out our Media post for new interviews.
ETA: ABC has released show information for March 30th. Listed below are the new songs for each couple. Be sure to read the link. It has some fun info on the opening number.

Argentine Tango for the best couple out there! Go Team ShWay! 🙂
hope they have at least one paso next week.
Oooh Sharna doing her first Argentine Tango. Think of the lifts
The first thing I thought of when I saw Noah and Sharna had the Arg. Tango was “Holy mother of lifts those are gonna be amazing”.
I CAN’T WAIT.
I really hope they don’t give Charlotte yet another Latin dance like they gave Suzanne. Hopefully she gets an Argentine Tango as well. I think Charlotte could actually perform a very good and sexy Tango. Crossing my fingers for that one even though I won’t be one bit surprised if they give her a Salsa
Oh it seems over half of my comment was cut off probably the shocked face emoji cuts it off. What I said is that the Noah could sort of take the weight with the prosthetic leg and use the ok leg to do those gonchos.
Well, lifts are not mandatory in Argentine Tango, Gilles & Cheryl had only two shorts ones and it was, to my opinion, the best argentine tango on DWTS.
Frankly the more lifts there are, the less dancing there is, and the beauty of the argentine tango is in the intricated dance of the feet, so I always feel frustrated when it’s only lifts after lifts.
Suzanne has now had Latin three times in a row. I really want to see her gowned up and dancing a Standard.
I dislike Val’s Salsa’s and I really have no clue why.
Vin, I hope we get some Pasos next week too!
Yeah, they gave Joanna Krupa four latin dances in a row. Don’t get your hopes up for Charlotte.
@Susan2: Val has very mixed results when it comes to those in my opinion as well. Some work (Elizabeth, Zendaya) and others not so much (Danica and Janel).
I hate most of the salsas on this show. It is the one dance lol that I know how to dance and have seen in person in ballroom shows, clubs, and salsa festivals. Many, like val, do it eh in my opinion.
I agree that my favorite AT in DWTS usually focus on the dancing rather than the lifts – Cheryl and Gilles is still my favorite, even if he is a turd. A few well-placed ones are okay, but I have to agree with Len that I want to see light and shade, tension – at least as much as the music will allow.
Well, I was actually hoping to see a Rumba from Noah and Sharna because I think he has good hip action and they have great chemistry and such a lovely connection.
However, I think AT will also be a good dance for them. While I agree with those who prefer an AT with more dancing and less lifting, in Noah and Sharna’s case, I think they’ll have to capture the mood of the dance with a few dance elements and then bring the wow-factor with a lot of lifts. The name of the game on DWTS is “play to your celeb’s strengths”, and doing ganchos is *not* going to be Noah’s strong suit.
Hope there’s not too big a learning curve for them with the prosthetic arm. I was kind of hoping they’d get to break it in with a waltz.
Oh, I agree Cidra- they will be able to use lifts for their AT to their advantage. I love AT lifts, but I like when they feel like an organic part of the routine rather than a bunch of lifts and then a few ganchos, cause oh yeah, AT. But in Noah’s case I’m sure Sharna will create a routine with some WOW lifts. That man is strong.
Yep, I agree that seeing light/shade, push/pull and stillness/movement is more important in an Argentine Tango than a liftapalooza. Lifts are more effective when there’s just a few and they’re done very well. Especially getting into and out of them .
Also agree that Gilles and Cheryl’s AT is a great example of this and that All-Star Gilles was a stinky souffle’ of douchyness.
I would think that Sharna would keep the AT more stationary, giving Noah more time to transition his movements and keep them sharp. I have no clue how he could possibly do ganchos. One handed lifts can be done very effectively. I’m thinking of Cheryl with Christian when he hurt his shoulder.
Does anyone know anything about an arm prosthetic? Does it bend at the elbow like a real arm?
It depends on the prosthetic. I assume that like his leg, Noah will have the most technologically advanced arm possible. I’m more interested in the hand than the arm, honestly. The majority of pictures I saw (away from the really really high tech ones) were more for aesthetics than function and the fingers were set in one position. I’m wondering if he will have one that the fingers can move individually. That would seem more difficult to deal with if they don’t.
@PH You’re right. I stop expecting DWTS to give me what I want a long time ago. Lol.
As it turns out Charlotte and Keo have the Rumba next week per DWTSGossip. I think that’d be a good dance for her. Fingers crossed.
I don’t mind lifts on AT as long as they fit really well too, Nicole’s was full of lifts and it all worked really well. On the other hand, Melissa’s All-Stars one had tons of lift as well but not enough content for me (not to mention how sloppy she danced it at several points), so it feels like the dance was just lifts every two seconds even though that’s not true. There is also the case where the choreography is fantastic but the dancer didn’t really bring it (Maria’s). My favourite AT ever is still Jennifer’s though.
So I’m VERY looking forward to see Sharna work on that, though that means the duration will still be only a minute long *sigh* I know I complain about that all the time, but still. Looking forward to see nice ATs from the stronger dancers this season.
Nastia getting Samba should be interesting, and Rumer got Salsa? Three of Val’s last four Salsas has been trio dances (and Danica’s was more like a Supersized Freestyle :P), hopefully no extra dancers will be around. I don’t like a single of Val’s Salsas so far though, not even Liz’s. And if she’s safe next week, hopefully Suzanne will get a taste of Ballroom instead of even more Latin dances or Contemporary/Jazz. At least two of Joanna’s four consecutive Latin weren’t part of the ten dances.
CC NY, Thanks for sharing the intel from DWTSGossip that Charlotte and Keo have Rumba next week.
I’m not sure that will be a good dance for her. With a few exceptions (including Nastia on pure technical merit) Rumba is rarely a good dance for anybody, especially this early in the season. I just hope she doesn’t think “oh good, it’s slow, so it’ll be easier” because we all know that isn’t true.
On a positive note, at least it’s different from the up-tempo stuff she’s had so far.
Hmm, I hope it’s true that Charlotte and Keo have a Rumba. Let’s just hope it steers more toward a romantic sexy Rumba rather than a rauchy sexy Rumba.
I also hope Keo really works harder to teach Charlotte better. The raw material is there, he just has to step up to the plate more to polish her into a diamond.
I hope so too, Susan. I think Keo is a great dancer and person, but, sometimes I wonder if he lacks in teaching ability?
I’m kind of interested to see Robert and Kym do the rumba. He has had very light happy performances so far so it should be good to see something a bit more passionate out of those two, their good chemistry should help too.
The AT from Noah and Sharna should be great as well. Sharna’s first AT on the show.
I’m really excited to see Noah and Sharna’s Argentine Tango. Sharna’s choreography this season has been nothing short of stellar.
As for Charlotte and Keo, I’m actually kind of excited for the Rumba because it’s considered one of the sexier dances done on the show. I think that’s the perfect time for her to distance herself on the image by making it more about the vulnerability of love and connection with Keo. If they focus on that (and if the producers let that be the narrative), I think it would be great for them and the show. Of course, since it’s one of the more sensual dancers, the viewers, producers, etc. could focus more on her sex appeal and all that. But I’m hopeful that the first week taught everyone a lesson about that. Who knows how it will be technically speaking for her? But I think from an emotional journey standpoint it’s a huge opportunity.
@Vogue, I think Keo has trouble dumbing it down to accommodate a non-dancer. He dances like he’s dancing with another pro, and it left Charlotte floundering, IMO.
But, I feel the same way about Witney now. She lucked out with having 2 great dancers her first 2 seasons as a pro, and now she’s having to scale it back and it frustrated her. Which is weird because I thought she was great dumbing it down with Drew Carey during the S18 Switch Up.
I just hope that Keo is capable of pulling all of that out of her, Laura. I’ve been getting some mixed vibes from him, but I’ve been giving him the benefit of the doubt since he’s so, so new.
Witney is pretty young and still new at this…hopefully she will adjust. Soon.
I appreciate Witney’s talent and charisma, but her immaturity gets on my nerves. She’s always struck me as self-absorbed, and her slightly diva-ish behavior just isn’t what I expect from a professional. Defending champ or not, this season isn’t about her, it’s about Chris. I’m not a Bachelor fan, but he seems a halfway decent guy and he is trying. So Witney needs to take a chill pill.
As for Keo, I agree he’s hard to figure out. Could be a combination of lack of teaching skills, some subtle cultural differences, and lack of true English fluency (since it’s likely English is not his first language, as Court pointed out elsewhere). I just have a feeling he’s different (in a good way) when the camera isn’t on him. In any case, he needs to step up to the plate–watch the other pros, ask for tips, do whatever’s necessary to be the best pro he can be for Charlotte.
Have to agree about Witney. I love her, but it’s her first totally non-dancer, non-performer and not sure she’s mentally adjusted to that. Chris really is just a regular guy. I hope she can just have fun with it, help him learn and be ok with his limitations – if they’re around after next week. That’s what I was hoping for from them. I don’t want to watch him all stressed out and sad looking. A star who’s trying, improving and having fun can do as well in this competition for a,while as a top contender. Hope Witney realizes that.
@Susan2: I imagine the prosthetic has to actuate the bending itself, much like his prosthetic leg does. (That is why he’s limited in what he can do with that leg, unlike Amy; the prosthetic knee simply can’t respond as fast as a human knee can.) I don’t know how lifelike it will be, since I don’t know how much movement, sensation, etc., he has left in the stump.
CM and Sam, thanks for your replies regarding the prosthetic arm. Noah has an intellegent pro in Sharna, much like Amy had with Derek, so I’m looking forward to seeing what they come up with on Monday night.
Does Keo have any experience teaching amateur dancers or students at a ballroom studio? Maybe, if Dancing with the Stars wants to add new troupe members or pro dancers they should look at professional dancers who compete in Pro–am ballroom competitions or ballroom instructors.
With regards to Witney, I’m sure it’s a combination of factors – she’s coming off a stellar season and she doesn’t want to fall short of fans – or her own – expectations. I also think her harsh, taskmaster/hard-ass approach is probably her compensating a bit for being a tiny, young female and she wants to be taken seriously as an authority figure. Combine all that with a bit of a wake-up call in terms of Chris’s abilities, it’s probably a tough road ahead of her for the rest of the season – if they aren’t eliminated on Monday. Hopefully she can take this experience and learn from it, and from here on out work with her partner’s strengths – and most of all, have fun.
I agree about Witney- I think Chris does have some potential and his first week was so fun to watch. I am not ready for him to get eliminated. He was so disheartened in his interviews. I thought his scores were particularly low considering everyone else’s…all 6s would have been more appropriate in my opinion. Looking forward to their AT.
I’m going to guess willow and mark are doing the paso doble with a fire and ice theme. The song sounds like a paso doble song and he tweeted a picture of fire and ice.
Some odd choices… To be honest, I’d rather them have a Latin Night with JUST Latin music but , well, that’s just me.
Guess Willow has the Paso Doble and Patti the ChaCha based on their songs. Should be good for them, I think. Not sure how Willow will do but hopefully she doesn’t take a step back from the awesome dance she had this week.
Big fan of Riker’s song. One of Daddy Yankee’s best songs and it fits a Salsa SO well. I’m excited!
I’m really looking forward to Noah’s Argentine Tango but God, I’m tired of that song. Lol.
Gaby, fascinating. I can’t wait to see what Mark puts together again for them.
Is anyone else surprised that they gave Noah that song for an AT when Amy did that song to an AT/Cha Cha fusion during her season? There are soooo many other options, why line up so many opportunities for comparison? I guess it won’t make a difference to the casual viewer who doesn’t remember, but to me it’s strange.
I think willow can deliver intense performances so that should be great for their paso doble.
I love Willows song. I can definitely picture 9s if this goes amazing.
Interesting music choices. I think I know 2.5 of them. (I say .5 because I’m sure the Pitbull song will sound like every other Pitbull song. 😀 )
Sharna seemed way more excited about the concept she had for Noah’s AT than the song, so I’m looking very much forward to that.
I hope they bring back more Paso Doble’s this season, I always enjoy them.
Charlotte and Michael have the same song. Is that allowed?
Sorry Jill. I’ve been multi tasking with two sites. Please be patient.
Charlotte a
Charlotte and Keo Looking forward to this. Love “Empire”
Rumor and Val Love this song as well
Patti and Artem This is going to be fun
Willow and Mark “Hanuman” Looked this up on youtube earlier. My daughter heard it and said “Oh, What is that! and immediately started dancing.
Noah and Sharna – Looking forward to this dance as well. He’s an amazing man.
Suzanne and Tony – Should be fun, but I want to see them do something elegant.
Nastia and Derek -Looked this up as well. This will be incredible. Can’t wait.
Willow and Mark are the only one’s doing a Paso?
I knew Nastia’s Samba song sounded familiar.
DWTS used it during Amber’s group for the Switch up challenge back in season 17 in Week 6.
Ooooh, thank you Vogue!
I did my music research, and I’m pretty pleased with this slate of “Latin Night” music. Sure it would be ideal if all the music was Latin, but this list isn’t bad.
Love the choices for Willow/Mark, Riker/Allison, Nastia/Derek. I think they’ll be great!
I like the songs for Chris/Witney and Charlotte/Keo, but I’m not sure they’ll be able to do the music justice.
Noah/Sharna’s song is alright. Don’t know Noah’s musical tastes, but I imagine he’ll find it easier to connect with and perform to this than something instrumental or sung in Spanish.
Robert/Kym’s is fine but very slow. I imagine Kym will be doing most of the work since it’s a Rumba. If Robert can get the emotional tone right, they might be OK.
Michael/Peta and Rumer/Val have very uninspired music choices in my opinion. They work for Salsa, and I think Michael and Rumer will dance well, but I can’t imagine either routine will be a legitimate “wow” number.
The worst of the bunch for me are the choices for Patti/Artem and Suzanne/Tony. I much prefer the original Santana version of “Oye Como Va”, and all I can say about “Copacabana” is…really???
Vog no worries and thanks! Ugh I think Michael’s song is worse now!
Jill L, Michael’s song might be worse, but at least I can picture a Salsa to it. I’m horrible at matching music to the dance style, but the first song had me really scratching my head going, huh???
Cidra….it could be worse. At least it’s not Copacabana! I love the original “Celebrate” by Rare Earth, but it’s NOT a salsa song. Dating myself…..
I LOVE rodrigo y gabriela, so excited that willow and mark are doing paso to it! Wish there were more latin songs though 🙁 sometimes the producers or whoever pick some awful music. Hey the song that derek and nastia are dancing to is the song that henry used to audition for the u.s. version of sytycd 🙂 nice song to samba to 🙂
I just listened to “Hanuman” on YouTube…I have no doubt Willow will be able to have the performance factor for the paso, but wow, the music is very fast and intricate…I’m nervous about whether she’ll be able to nail the technique and timing with the music. Fingers crossed!
I know Mark is a big fan of Rodrigo y Gabriela so he will be stoked about dancing to this song!!!
“Her name was Lola, she was a showgirl”. I love that song! (Hiding under a rock at the moment).
I bet Suzanne will be showcasing some showgirl realness Monday night.
I can’t tell you how much I love Mark when he’s firing on all cylinders like he is with Willow and with Sadie last season. His creatively quirky choreography is a joy to watch.
Jill L, I think we all date ourselves at some point or other. Thankfully nobody here holds it against us. 🙂
Cali, I agree. The performance element shouldn’t be a problem for Willow. We’ll have to wait and see on the rest. Willow has apparently taken a lot of ballet. So hopefully that will give her the muscle control to keep up with the tempo of the song. Also, it will somewhat depend on how intricate Mark gets with the choreography. You don’t necessarily have to step to every beat of the music all the time.
Susan2, Come out from under your rock; everyone is entitled to a guilty pleasure song or two. 😉 I’m just going to have to turn down the volume on yours come Monday in order to get through it.
Oh no oh no!!! I’ve got that song in my brain and can’t get it out! Help!!!!!!
LOL, Jess. Awful isn’t it? Can you put something you like on whatever music device is handy and put it on repeat? That might fix things.
Yeah, my emojis aren’t working either. Glitch in the matrix? :-/
Must be. Everybody, save yourselves…get out now!
Well….that’s a interesting group of songs…I kinda hate half of them but that’s just me lol. Just my thoughts on each and score guesses:
Charlotte and Keo: This should be fun….and good for her. My guess is (8,7,7,8)
Rumor and Val: This is either going to be really good or really meh. My guess is the latter. My guess on scores is (8,8,8,8)
Patti and Artem: She always gets the fun songs doesn’t she lol…..and I’m so glad she does. This should be fun. My guess is (7,7,7,7)
Willow and Mark: The dance I’m most excited to watch. My guess is (9,8,9,9)
Chris and Witney: I’m not sure what to expect from this one to be honest because he might be really good with lifts and the intensity but not the footwork. My guess is (7,7,7,7).
Michael and Peta: Didn’t they sue this song in the last season finale? My guess is (8,8,8,8).
Noah and Sharna: I have a feeling this will be a real treat to watch because he really can dance but in the same sense I feel like it wont be his best either. My guess is (7,7,7,7)
Robert and Kym: Well it was eventual…..lets see how they play up the “romance” that may or may not exsist between the two in real life. My guess is (7,7,7,7)
Riker and Allison: This song makes me want to pull my hair out. Saying that it screams party. My guess is (8,9,8,9)
Suzanne and Tony: Kinda the perfect song for this dance and this pairing. My guess is (8,8,8,8)
Nastia and Derek: This screams fun and party to me. My guess is (9,8,9,8). I have 8s in there because I feel like Len and Carrie Ann might be knit picky.
You know Cids, I got on with my day and forgot it but now that I stopped back on this thread here we go again. I’d rather sing the Barney song, so here goes.
OK..I just saw Dancingabc’s instagram pic of Suzanne and Tony, and Suzanne has a bowl of fruit on her head…I hope this is just a promo jest pic. because I do not want to see this beautiful and sexy lady dancing with a bowl of fruit on her head…
I hope I’m over reacting. I need reassurance that this won’t be bad.
Well, she is dancing to Copacabana, so…
And I believe that she told them she loves that song and wanted to dance to it. Why? Story time by Heidi: Ten or twelve years ago, I guess, I was hanging out with some friends in California. We went to Malibu one morning and went into the Starbucks at Malibu Country Mart. Me and my friend walked into Starbucks and saw Barry Manilow, Dick Van Dyke, Suzanne Sommers, her husband – and there may have been another celeb there too, but I can’t remember. They were all sitting in the same general area, but by coincidence. You could go into the is Starbucks at any given time and see someone famous – I saw Linda Hamilton so many times there that she always said Hi to me. 🙂 Anyway, we walk in and my friend turns to me and says “I think we just walked on to an episode of The Love Boat” – which I thought was pretty funny. So, we’re waiting to get coffee and Suzanne is a bit of a loud talker and I could hear her telling Dick or her hubby – not sure which – that Barry was going to let her be Lola in Copa. No idea how it came up…perhaps she had never met Barry before and was fangirling. That’s unlikely though because that wasn’t the first time I had seen Suzanne around Malibu. I think Barry lives there too.
So, when I heard she was dancing to Copa I was like…”Wha…oh yeah.”
Princess Heidi..LOL on The Love Boat episode. I watched it when I was younger. Sounds like it is totally her idea then, and if she enjoys it, that is what counts. I just kind of cringed at her first dance, but enjoyed the second. I want people to laugh along with her and not at her. I don’t know how long she will be around and would like to see her do something elegant, but it is her choice and journey.
Man I watched Three’s company, Love Boat, and went to a Barry Manilow concert. Time flies!
Loved Story time by Heidi. It does make me feel better for her.
It’s stories like these that make me wish we had a “like” button for comments 🙂
I had the same thought about the “like” button just yesterday. I think Facebook has spoiled me. I even want to “like” comments for real-life conversations, haha.
PH – I remember you mentioning the Dick Van Dyke story (because I nominated him as my absolute dream celeb) and that she was there – but the Copacabana element just takes the cake. It’s like you had a peek into your DWTS future!
Also, I wish I liked Barry Manilow. I always kid my boyfriend because as a child he was in his fan club, haha.
I have a good number of Malibu stories as it’s one of my favorite places. Jay Leno almost ran me down in that same parking lot in one of his cars too. Then there’s going into a restaurant in that area and seeing Fabio and a table with young guy minions. All were on motorcycles. LOL.
LOL…I have another Dick Van Dyke story too, where he dropped his money on the ground and I pointed it out to him. He picked it up and then started this riff about how the $5 bill looks like monopoly money and how he was afraid to hand it to someone for fear it would be rejected as fake. VERY nice man.
@Heidi – Sooooo…Fabio and multiple “biker from the Village People” impersonators? Hmmmmm 😉
That makes me so happy to know that Dick Van Dyke is as nice in real life as he is in my head.
I love Malibu too; I was just there about a month ago and ate amazing seafood. I’m moving to the LA-area next year and had to get away from the Chicago cold for a bit and scope out possible neighborhoods.
Strangely, I saw no celebs in my entire time that trip to SoCal (usually do) – even though Jon Hamm has a house right down the block from my friend’s in Los Feliz and apparently she sees him every week at the same diner – although with the word of him being in rehab the past 30 days, it all makes sense why I didn’t see him then!
Fig are you in Chi-town? I was just up there last weekend for my cousin’s birthday. Good grief, that lake effect wind is NO JOKE.
I am – born and raised here in the city, although my mom lives in Indiana now (I think you or someone on here is from Indy?). No kidding – the wind here can get outrageous and make the air feel like ice. It’s part of the reason I’m moving somewhere warm because after 30+ years of this, it’s time to live a more cushy life.
What part of Chicago were you at?
Also, I think if I ever saw Fabio in real life, I’d cry for want of having a bottle of the “I Can’t Believe it’s Not Butter!” spray to take a pic of him with it.
Yerp. It was pretty weird all the way around, Court. 😉
@Fig – Yep, I’m in the northeast ‘burbs of Indy 🙂 As for Chicago – I don’t know which side of town is which, but my cousin’s apartment faces Lakeshore – he lives in Hollywood Towers on Sheridan, I think? So the north end? We went to a bar called Hopleaf and one called The Brixton on Sat night, and then had brunch at Broadway Cellars on Sunday. Me, the bf, and the sis ended up staying at the Best Western in Evanston – pretty bare bones hotel, but at least it was clean and was in a decent part of town. But man, that lake air was making me SHIVER on Sat night. When we headed home Sunday afternoon, it was about 20 degrees warmer in Indy. Crazy.
Does anyone else remember a dating reality show from probably 10-12 years ago, where there was a hot bachelorette and they had her dating some unattractive guys and attractive guys, and she (of course) chose one of the attractive guys at the end? And then she told him that she had this “deep, dark, secret” she had to tell him, and it was that *dramatic drumroll* she once dated Fabio??? And dude got all irrationally bent outta shape, like “I don’t even know how to react to this!!!” and dumped her? Anytime I hear Fabio’s name, I think of that dumb show…wish I could remember the name of it…
@courtney: I remember watching that show lol. I think it was hosted by jerry springer right?
Courtney, I kind of hate myself for knowing this, but I’m pretty sure it was called ‘Average Joe.’
@CM – THAT’S IT!!! What a sh*tshow. Lol
I don’t know where to put this, but if this isn’t the right place, feel free to move it!!
I was just looking through Twitter and I guess DWTSGossip said Val said in Patti & Artem’s rehearsal that the switch up is gonna be in week 6. I feel that’s a little late for it, no? If it’s going to be that late this season then I feel they shouldn’t do it at all this time but that’s just me.
Didn’t they do switch up in week 5 the last two times? I don’t think one more week makes too much a difference. Maybe it’s a week later because I think Derek has a couple of crazy performance weeks coming up where he has more than his usual amount of shows. I can see not wanting to toss whoever gets him as a partner into an even more crazy schedule with him.
OMG Courtney, I live LITERALLY a block and a half away from Hopleaf – and we were there and then went to the Brixton last weekend, haha! Did you go upstairs there? My downstairs neighbor drunkenly made out with some girl on that big leather couch and grossed out the entire bar. Good times.
I did the maths and if they are going to continue having 1 couple leave every week from here on in bar switchup week, then the halfway point of the competition would be week 6. They’ve specifically said the halfway point of the competition is Disney week. So surely the switch up week would be week 5? Then that would allow them to have most memorable year in week 4. To me that makes the most sense if the competition is going to last 11 weeks with 4 couples in the final week and a couple eliminated each week bar switchup night. I might have got the maths wrong or DWTS are planning to have an extra week so who knows.
M8, Week 5 is Disney week, and Week 6 is the switchup. Someone heard Val talking about the switch up being in week 6 in Patti’s live stream, so I’m sure he must already know about when it’s happening.
Ahh, and to follow-up on my last post, Court – I thought for a minute that we were very likely at the same bars at the same time, but I just saw that you said Saturday – and I was there on Friday. But your cousin has good sense to bring you to Andersonville – I love my neighborhood – and the Hopleaf is a world-renowned bar for beer folks. My boyfriend is a craft brew afficiando, so we’re always there. I’m more of a wine and spirits gal, and the Brixton has some amazing cocktails. If you’re ever in the hood again, let me know!
So I’ll predict scores for fun. I got like 4 right last week so my track record’s improving.
Noah & Sharna: 32 (8,8,8,8)
Suzanne & Tony : 28 (7,7,7,7)
Nastia & Derek : 32 (8,8,8,8)
Rumer & Val : 36 (9,9,9,9)
Riker & Allison : 31 (8,7,8,8)
Charlotte & Keo : 29 (7,7,8,7)
Chris & Witney : 28 (7,7,7,7)
Patti & Artem : 28 (7,7,7,7)
Robert & Kym : 27 (7,6,7,7)
Michael & Peta : 28 (7,7,7,7)
Willow & Mark : 33 (8,8,8,9)
I think Michael will get at least one 8. He’s all about the booty and he has rythym. There is no way Charlotte gets a higher score than him.
Michael 30 (8,7,8.8)
Noah 29 (7,7,8,8)
@Jill I do hope I am wrong on Michael’s score but I just have this feeling the judges are gonna be underscoring him. The Salsa is pretty tricky too so hopefully he’s got the footwork of it down.
And I guess part of me kinda just hopes Charlotte has really improved and they score her higher. I think she’s capable of it. She looked pretty darn good in the rehearsals.
@Jill Your predicted socres add up to 31 for Michael and 30 for Noah not 30 and 29, respectively.
I think Riker will get a pretty good score based on his Salsa training. I was thinking more in the line of 9s. Since it isnt part of the 10 ballroom dances, I dont think they would be as critical with amount of Salsa content in comaprison to if we were to say they would dance a Samba. (I could be wrong though, the judges have always been inconsistent about this) I mean his Foxtrot didnt really have much foxtrot and he got 8s even from Len.
Excited for Willow’s routine. She looked great.
Jaime – thanks for the math check. Nothing like errors glaring you in the face and you can go back and edit….I was hoping no one noticed. Thanks again.
Its ok, Jill. No one is perfect. I didnt mean to sound rude or anything. Lots of love.
I love the song Rumer and Val got.
Getting excited for Latin night – the music selections look great! Turn the Beat Around is a classic, but so fast! Just listened to Hanuman – exciting guitar choice and not surprised Mark is dancing to it!
Here are my scoring predictions:
Patti & Artem (8,7,8,8)
Nastia & Derek- (9,8,8,9)
Rumer & Val (9,9,9,9)
Willow & Mark (8,8,8,8)
Riker & Allison (9,8,9,9)
Robert & Kym (7,6,7,7)
Charlotte & Keo (7,8,7,7)
Chris & Witney (8,7,7,8)
Suzanne & Tony (8,7,7,8)
Michael & Peta (8,8,8,8)
My prediction: Don’t underestimate Robert and Kym…everyone had him going out first in pre-show predictions, I don’t think he gets a 6 even if Rumba is tricky
Cordell – no score for Noah?
I have a feeling the judges will tongue bathe Rumer again… So I’m expecting her to be on top of the leader board by the end of the night.
Who also wants to bet with me that Rumer & Val’s package may have to do with topping Nastia’s score? I don’t know that it’ll happen for certain, but I have this gut feeling they’ll be all about “Oh, I want to get back on the top.”
Are Bruce and Demi going to be in the audience tonight? Are you ready for “Val this is definitely your season to win”? Judges, be neutral. It’s actually more enjoyable to watch the show that way. Thank you..(wishful thinking they can hear me).
@Cordell umm… Cordell, you totally forgot to put a prediction scores on Noah & Sharna (n)
I don’t think they will make Rumer first just so they could “downplay” her and make her look like she’s going through a journey rather than just getting first place all the time. I could be wrong though. Haha.
My quess is Nastia gets top spot with like a 35 or 36. Lowest will probably be Suzanne with like a 24 or lower depending if she starting the show or not.
Charlotte looks kinda stompy in her rumba. She has nice extensions but it lacks that “flow” that Bruno always talks about in the rumba. I dont think she’ll get 8’s.
And ALL ACCESS IS LIVE!
Where is the Michael from week 1? Where’d he go!?
I did not enjoy this dance in the slightest bit. :/ It just looked awkward and he looked so uncomfortable during it. Damn..
First Charlotte and now Michael… why are they losing me as a fan tonight?! Lol
Haha silly me wrote that comment about Michael on the wrong post… I’ve had too much to drink apparently.
