Pictured below is Cheryl Burke and Antonio Sabato Jr. being interviewed by Mario Lopez yesterday for Extra. There isn’t any video yet, but, you can view some fanastic shots of them at the Getty links below. Also, didn’t Cheryl look great at Mark Ballas’ “Kicking Clouds” Debut Party (also pictured below)? Beautiful!
A couple of seasons ago, I created a set of criteria with which to measure the benefits some dancers on DWTS have compared to the other dancers. That is, ringers versus non-ringers. I attempted to be as logical and scientific as possible, although it’s impossible to remove all subjectivity from the issue. But it’s far better than simply saying “so and so isn’t a ringer, IMO”. In your opinion? If your opinion is purely subjective with no effort at logical or rational thought, then what good is it??
No good at all, actually. The original series sprung from an effort to debunk the old, tired and stupid claim that the only reason Derek does well is because he gets all the good partners and no one else gets them. Utter BS, of course. It would be a good idea to read that series before starting this one as I can’t guarantee that I’ll include all the same rationale this second time around and I don’t take well to discussing a subject with someone who is so rude as to not read the blogs. Lot’s of fun coverage today of the eliminated couples on Good Morning America thanks to the Vocal Vault, Karina, and @GMA. Plus, the judges announced Robin Roberts will be the celebrity guest judge on Dancing With The Stars next week (Awww, I love her). Note too how they said there will be a guest judge every week from next week forward (wow, ok, but, isn’t that a little much?) Also, note how Sean remarked in his interview that he and the producer had a disagreement which he thinks sealed his fate, but, I don’t think that had anything to do with him being eliminated, do you? I think his fan base was too small compared to Billy Dee’s (who I think should have left before Sean)? Let us know what you think. Below is more in detail…
ETA: Ricky Martin and Redfoo from the band LMFAO will also be judging in the next weeks as well as Mario Lopez and Julianne Hough as previously reported.
Be sure to listen and watch these two interviews. Bruno Tonioli is interviewed about Dancing With The Stars by Mario Lopez. They talk of the Switch up dance and more. NOTE how Mario is going to be a guest judge at some point in the season. Much thanks to Lori for the heads up with this news.
Yesterday, Maks Chmerkovskiy & Meryl Davis and Sharna Burgess & Charlie White taped an appearance for Extra with Mario Lopez. You can view lots of fun pics of the four of them at Just Jared Jr. here and here. You can also see them arriving for rehearsals for Dancing With The Stars. Below are a couple of pictures from Mario’s twitter. So cute!! *I love those smiles!!
Yesterday, Dancing With The Stars Peta Murgatroyd was Mario Lopez’s guest for Extra at The Grove in Los Angeles, California. According to the Daily Mail, the two did some cycling and lifted weights to promote fitness. He interviewed Peta as well. Hopefully, we’ll get some footage from Extra on that soon. In the meantime, view loads more pictures of them at Zimbio Pictures.
Also, below is a little piece with Gilles on Access Hollywood today talking about the odds of him winning Dancing With The Stars. He’s not paying attention to them. See why….
According to a tweet by Island records, Justin Bieber will be performing on the season premiere of Dancing with the Stars on Tuesday, September 25th..

ADDING: According to a post at the Dancing With The Stars official facebook, Pitbull will also be performing.
Last Monday, Mario Lopez interviewed Dancing With The Stars pro Peta Murgatroyd at the The Grove In Los Angeles, California for Extra. Extra hasn’t posted the interview yet on line (that I see), but, you can see some fabulous pics of the two at Zimbio Pictures. Peta looks so cute and check out how the pair did some dancing with each other during the show as well.
Another season, another cast…oh wait. Another season, with an old cast, of sorts. 🙂 I am actually excited – didn’t think it was going to happen. I imagine the screaming will start shortly, however.
Anyway, tune in here at 10:30 pacific (1:30 eastern time) we’ll be updating as fast as we can and, of course, snarking as hard as we can. We will get snark out of Vogue if it’s the last thing we do. 😉 Come on, Vogue, you can do it!! 🙂 If you want to see the announcement as it happens, I think you need to watch ABC.com
@ABCPublicity says on Twitter (will update if official page is different):
ETA 1: The general media is reporting this cast – let me know if I made any errors. They announced early and I was caught off guard. 🙂
ETA 2: After a moment to catch my breath…I’m digging this cast, with the huge exception of Bristol. And many people are going to have new partners, so they better ALL have new partners. If they stack it in Cheryl or Mark’s favor by giving them Gilles and Shawn, respectively?? I’ll be kinda pissed. Give Cheryl Drew since he’s been away for a while and put Mark back with Bristol. That said…can Shawn or Gilles win against the likes of Helio or Apolo?? I doubt it. Even without Julianne, those are two very likable dudes.
ETA 3: UPDATE From ABC Read more..
Thanks to Heidi for the heads up!! More cast rumors,…and this time from the NY Daily!!! And look below who they are listing to dance for the all star season! Who’s ready? 😀
THE BIG GUNS are returning to “Dancing With the Stars.” According to sources, the hit ABC show will welcome back multiple winners and finalists for the 15th season — debuting this fall — which is being billed as the “2012 All-Star Cast.” The contestants include season two winner Drew Lachey and season nine winner Donny Osmond. Previous second-place finishers who have made the cut include Mel B, Mario Lopez, Joey Fatone, Kyle Massey and Gilles Marini.
But the most intriguing names on the list we received belong to a trio of beautiful women: Pamela Anderson, Maria Menounos and Stacy Keibler. The network officially will announce the lineup Friday. Reps for the lovely ladies did not return our request for comment and a rep for the show told us “we do not comment on casting rumors.”
So exciting! Let us know what you think in the comments section!!
