Dancing With The Stars Host Tom Bergeron On ‘The Talk’!

Tom Bergeron was a hoot today as always on The Talk, but, he gets serious as well especially when he’s asked straight up on all the controversy on the show this past week. He defends Maks saying he was clumsy with his wording, but, that’s “LIVE TV for ya.” He had to be honest and say he thought Bruno was “rude” with his comments on Chaz and he understands why Chaz was offended. Tom avoided the question when asked who will win Dancing With The Stars Season 13. The person he is most inspired by on the show this season is J.R. Martinez. Though, the best part of the interview is when Tom spills on how he took the gig to host Dancing With The Stars. I won’t ruin it for you. Take a listen in the third segment of the show >>>>HERE

Official ABC Details Released On Dancing With The Stars Week 7 (Performers, Team Songs, & More)

Justin Bieber and Boyz II Men will be performing on Tuesday night’s results show. They will sing “Fa La La” which is a new track from Justin’s holiday album “Under the Mistletoe” (which you can sample here if you like). Christina Perri will also be performing. Below are some more details released on the show from ABC. Note how Mark Ballas and Chelsie Hightower will return to dance. Derek Hough is joining dancer Alison Holker of “So You Think You Can Dance” for an “exceptional Latin infused choreographed number”. The two team songs the couples will be dancing to on Monday night are Rihanna’s “Disturbia” Disturbia - Now That's What I Call Music, Vol. 29 and Evanescence’s “Bring Me to Life.” Bring Me to Life - Fallen More details below. It’s going to be a fun Halloween!

“Episode 1307 & 1307A” — Monday’s “Dancing with the Stars” kicks off live from the ballroom with an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the remaining couples as they get ready for their big Halloween night during the special ABC premiere of “Scared Shrekless,” which airs Monday,
October 31 from 7:58-8:30 p.m., ET. Inspired by the hit feature film “Shrek,” viewers will join Shrek (Mike Myers) as he celebrates his favorite holiday, ogre-style. Shreck ditches the standard tricks or treats and challenges fairy-tale characters, including Donkey (Dean Edwards) and Puss in Boots (Antonio Banderas), to a scary storytelling contest. Just as the contest is set to begin, they all discover they must spend the night in Lord Farguaad’s haunted castle, and the last one to be scared “Shrekless” will win.

Then, the Halloween Night event continues with an exciting Halloween-themed episode of “Dancing with the Stars,” filled with thrilling performances from the remaining six couples. Each pair will light up the ballroom floor with killer costumes and an electrifying dance to some of Halloween’s favorite spooky tunes. Later in the night they return to the floor when Team Tango’s J.R & Karina, Nancy & Tristan and David & Kym, dancing to Rihanna’s “Disturbia,” battle Team Paso’s Ricki & Derek, Hope & Maksim and Rob & Cheryl, dancing to Evanescence’s “Bring Me to Life.” The gripping 90-minute show airs MONDAY, OCTOBER 31 (8:30-10:01 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network.

This week on “Dancing with the Stars the Results Show,” global pop sensation Justin Bieber and the best selling R&B group of all time, Boyz II Men, collaborate for a television premiere performance of “Fa La La,” accompanied by pro dancers Mark Ballas and Chelsie Hightower. “Fa La La” is from Bieber’s Christmas album, “Under the Mistletoe,” available November 1st. Bieber will hit the stage for a second time with a knockout performance of his megahit song, “Never Say Never.” Pro dancer Derek Hough joins “So You Think You Can Dance” dancer Alison Holker for an exceptional Latin infused choreographed number. Additionally, this season’s second “AT&T Spotlight Performance” will truly be an emotional and unique dance performance, accompanied by hot new recording artist Christina Perri singing her smash hit, “Arms.” In the end, the sixth couple eliminated must say goodbye, TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 1 (9:00-10:01 p.m., ET).

In other TV mentions, don’t miss seeing Bruno Tonioli on Jimmy Kimmel Live after the show Monday night. Kym Johnson and David Arquette will also guest on Good Morning America on Thursday, Nov. 3rd.

Ricki Lake Says Dancing With The Stars Is ‘Like Giving Birth’

Ricki Lake tells the Miami Herald that doing Dancing With The Stars may be “like giving birth” these last 6 weeks, but, “the grind will all be worth it in the end.” She also discusses what the atmosphere is like behind the scenes this week. It may have a “little tension” in it since what happened Monday night with Maks and Len, but, they are use to it and everyone is rooting for each other. Ricky also dishes on what it’s like to work with Derek and how they got paired up which you can read on below. Be sure to read the link for the full interview.

How do you like working with pro partner Derek Hough?
All I can say is that he is so committed to doing the best and making me look my best. He’s tough sometimes, really hardcore, but you have to be to pull a performance from people who aren’t comfortable doing what we’re doing. There’s a reason he’s won three times. He really has these blinders on and is very focused. I’m just doing what he tells me to do to the best of my ability.

How did you guys get paired up?
I think they try to match personalities, but I don’t know what goes into it and how you get a certain partner. I was secretly hoping I would get Derek but didn’t say anything because I thought that would affect my chances of actually getting him.

You seem like you have a good chance of being the last one standing.
In the beginning, I played to win, whether it’s a poker tournament or playing my kids’ Monopoly. It’s definitely shifted. Now that we’re near the end I’m really just into making people think I’m a dancer. I would gladly come in second to a war hero [J.R.].

Ricki also did a new interview with US Weekly. She chats about how she has pushed her body when she took on dancing and more. There is new video at the link (for some reason it won’t embed).

I'm a nerd and proud of it. Two degrees in geology also means I love BEER. :-) I'm also a Derek lover - proud of that too. So don't scream at those of us on this site and call us a bunch of "biased Derek-lovers" - it's just ME. :-) It may sound like I hate DWTS at times, but really, I'm just a snarky nitpicker from way back. And I'm cynical and jaded too. But I do love DWTS. :-)

DWTS Maksim Chmerkovskiy And Hope Solo’s Halloween Samba To Be A Lot Of Fun

Due to busy rehearsals, Maks wasn’t able to pen a new blog for TV Guide last week, but, he’s made up for it today tenfold. Maks writes of how he’s put his spat with Len behind him. He also writes how much he respects and loves all of his Dancing With The Stars “family” (including Derek). Below is what he writes for week 7 and the two dances he and Hope have….

Hope and I had fun doing the rumba, and I’m proud of her performance. It’s not new for Hope to be criticized and to have to prove herself. We had a long conversation. She called me and said, “This is our seventh week. That’s pretty crazy.” I realized that, and I always say during the show every season, “We should all embrace it.” We blinked and it’s Week 7. It’s a milestone of sorts. It’s not going unnoticed in my book. I’m very proud of her and how much she’s done. Even if she’s not good enough of a dancer to compete with some of the front-runners, I don’t look at it that way. It’s the fact that she was given the opportunity to dance. There won’t be another Olympic gold medalist, Golden Glove-winning goalkeeper that will also have an opportunity to learn how to dance. That’s something to be proud of. We’re focusing on the positive.

We have the samba next and a team paso doble with Ricki and Derek, and Rob and Cheryl. Rehearsals have been going great. We started our group rehearsal Tuesday after the show and now we mostly have to work on our solo spots in the routine. Our samba has a Halloween theme, of course, and it’s a lot of fun. It’s just another opportunity to dress up, so I think it will be a fun show.

Maks also writes of the Dance With Me showcase this weekend. I love what he says about what dancing is about….

One last thing: We have an incredible event on Sunday. It’s a Dance with Me showcase in Brooklyn at Grand Prospect Hall. Kirstie’s participating in it and it’s going to be great. Kirstie’s a dear, dear friend of mine and she’s just been incredible. She’s been phenomenal for everything dance. She hasn’t stopped dancing since we last danced in May. It’s an absolute honor to know I was part of her dance experience. She’s been traveling and raising money for charities, and for her to make a stop deliberately to participate in an event of ours is beyond any honor that I can even imagine. We’ll have all our dancers. Val is back, Dasha is back. It’s going to be beautiful. I’m really going to encourage people to come and enjoy dancing. It’s just dancing. No judging. No comparing. No confrontation. Just come and see somebody express emotions through movement. They’re putting their heart and soul into it, just like everyone on the show is. I want people to watch Dancing with the Stars for the dancing. It’s not Judging the Stars. People sometimes forget what dancing is. When I started teaching at 16 in my first studio, one thing I remember was from my first class of 33 students. Their parents came and some of the kids were older than me. I said to them: “Do you know what dance is? Dance is simply an interpretation of what you feel. It’s non-verbal communication. It’s how to communicate without speaking.” When Chaz, Carson, Kirstie, Brandy or Hope dance, they don’t try to be better than others, they’re dancing for themselves and are trying to convey their message through dance.

Much more at TV Guide!!

Note: Late last night, Maks posted he has a broken toe! Let’s hope this isn’t an issue come Monday night.

Bruce Jenner Says No One Has Tamed Down Rob Like Cheryl Has (DWTS Rehearsal Video)

Rob Kardashian tells Access Hollywood that he never expected to go this far on Dancing With The Stars, but, he’s confident and happy going into week 7 to dance his Tango. He just wants to keep on improving to try and get to the top spot. Check out how Bruce Jenner has been telling Cheryl that no one has been able to tame Rob down like she has. LOL I have to say this guy has proved me wrong in a lot of ways this Season. I like how he seems to have grown up before our very eyes?
