Dancing with the Stars Season 21, Week 2 – Tuesday Night LIVE BLOG

And onto night 2 of the “Hometown Glory” extravaganza – and tonight it’s the pros’ turn 🙂 If you want a refresher of what went down last night, here’s Monday’s live blog post, and my power rankings and Heidi’s numbers headed into tonight’s show.  Sorry kids – had to unsticky ’em, or else we’d just have an endless parade of stickies on the front page, and ain’t nobody got time to scroll through that 😉

Thoughts going into tonight’s show? I’m just happy to not be watching on a crappy internet feed, and that my asthma is in check thanks to a new inhaler (thanks to all who checked in on me today :-)). Actually kinda excited to see the pros’ talking about their hometowns – haven’t really gotten to see a ton of that.  Slightly disappointed we won’t get to see Keo’s – Deep Throat indicated his hometown package was REALLY neat. Still think Kim is on the chopping block, with *cringe* Victor possibly on the bubble.

Not sure that opening went as smoothly as it could have.

Emma’s intro was super cute.  And that quickstep was pretty damn good – Hayes a contender yet again.

Good lawd, what is Witney wearing??? She looks like a cross between a Vegas showgirl and a saloon girl. Not my favorite costume she’s ever worn…

And like Hayes, Carlos also SLAYS his dance.  Nick & Bindi could have some serious competition in Carlos.  Shut up Carrie Ann – love that Alexa & Witney are both giving her the “B*tch, no you di’int!” face.

“Putin on the Ritz”, eh Tom? I see what you did there. 😛

Gary’s still good fun.  Seems like they may be trying to knock him out by next week, though.

I see that Hayley has been minimally present in the bumpers – wonder if they’re realizing that you can’t just take a contemporary dancer,  give them a crash course in ballroom, and expect them to be just as good as people that have been doing  ballroom their entire lives.

I think that’s the first time Andy has really IMPRESSED me so far this season. He handled that nicely.

The judges are annoying the crap outta me tonight – they’re just bickering.

Weslie is adorable – you can tell she is just LOVING being on TV.

The famous Shirley Ballas “three step turn-telemark-one-footed-spin-into-a-split” rumba move – $5 says Alexa won’t be able to pull it off.  That’s a RIDICULOUSLY hard amalgamation.

Alexa sorta-kinda did the combo. But the thing about how Shirley do it was that it was so FAST – Alexa got a tad stuck.  But a good effort 🙂 Pretty dance.

Not loving Julianne’s eye makeup tonight.  Never been a fan of a strong cut crease.

Paula did ok – not as good as last night, but better than  last week.

Man Kim has some YUGE knockers.

Bindi’s metaphors…lol.

Lovely dance from Bindi & Derek – more of a contemporary/waltz fusion, but I enjoyed it.

Carrie Ann just needs to drop the dumbass “lift police”. It’s tired, it’s pointless, and it’s petty.

I enjoyed Kim & Tony’s dance far more than I thought I would. Kim felt really engaged in it, as did Tony.

Alek looks so stinkin’ cute in his white suit 🙂 And I see Tamar is putting Val through the paces again – love that he got a strong-willed partner this season. Welcome to Tony’s world, dude.

Carrie Ann, I can tell you and I are gonna butt heads this season. Just tell Alek he did well, with a few mistakes. I don’t think they’re giving him (or anyone else) enough credit tonight.

Love that Victor & Karina are EMBRACING the height difference, instead of making things awkward.

I think that’s the best Victor has done so far.  Dude is seriously giving it his all.

I daresay Nick redeemed himself completely from last night.  GORGEOUS.

Ok, I REALLY liked Tamar in that Charleston.  And I LOVE that she is as baffled by the shirtlessness as I am. 😀

In jeopardy: Gary & Anna and Victor & Karina

Going home: Victor & Karina. Dammit 🙁

Is Kim REALLY that popular??? Victor looks sad.  I am sad. Gary in jeopardy again? If he’s not gone next week, I will be shocked.
